Sutekh Have Reading actually managed to touch the ball in the Pompey box yet?

Does the Mahony air kick on the penalty spot count?
That was certainly a half to forget

Garcia not a winger, Abrefa not a full back on this performance and getting absolutely spanked at a canter.OMahony performances so far not exactly filling me with confidence.

Hound Do worry about Abrefa.

Definitely lacking pace at the back - in itself not nec a huge issue but Noel needs to adapt the system

Not really created a lot either, Kelvin E done some fairly good stuff but not a lot for the strikers to work with

Abrefa looks a little heavy to me. I wonder if the constant injuries are taking a toll. Jacobs migbt just be lacking fitness and match practice.

At the moment, I'd be seriously tempted to start the season with:

..................Pereira
Ahmed, Burns, O'Connor, Ryan

At least Ahmed and Ryan have a bit of pace and youthful exuberance about them. And Stickland isn't far off Burns place based on today.

I think this season we may be in for an object lesson in just how important Mbengue's pace was for us at the back,

Let's not forget the team had rancid performances in them last year and the year before. 45 atrocious minutes without doubt, but let's not overreact and extrapolate that over a season. It's a PSF.

The final PSF of the season should really be a dress rehearsal for the first game of the season which is what makes that first half performance very concerning.

Yes, but the season is long. Didn't Orient lose their opening 5 last season? Or further back, McDermott started 11/12 pretty badly?

Today doesn't give me confidence for Lincoln, but I think recruitment has been smart so far and we'll be okay.

Oof, good work between Garcia and Abrefa to make space on the wing. Then a good cross destined for a Savage tap in, deflected up and to Kelvin to side foot volley home, but went across goal and blocked by a defender

Does Jacob or our CBs have any idea how to mark a player? Jacob is miles away from being ready to play on this performance

This is dreadful, nothing up top, midfield to narrow, and our back 4 are slow as Oxford

Pereira, whilst not at fault, hasn't done well on any of these goals. But the main problem is the entire back four is so immobile, Pompey are just running past them to get 1v1s with Pereira under zero pressure constantly.

Burns, O'Connor and Jacobs simply cannot play any sort of high or even normal defensive line, and have zero ability to recover back.

Hunt has to either play a different back line, or a different defensive shape and line. Because neither O'Connor or Burns can cover the ground to coverin behind fullbacks when they're high, or get back if they brought the ball forward into midfield.

It's like a few years ago when we were constantly playing CBs with the pace and turning circle of the QE2 and exprcting them to cover balls into the channels for speedsters. It's a recipie for disaster.

The ref really needs to protect the ball from the way they keep kicking it into the net.

Where's the coordination between Burns and O'Connor.

Pompey striker 2 yards off side. Burns drops in to get goalside unnecessarily, while O'Connor is 15 yards further forward. What sort of defensive line and teamwork is that!

Isn’t this where midfielders should be dropping into the spaces the full backs leave and thus help the defence avoid dodgy situations?

RoyalsTV site hardly covering itself in glory either, no line ups given, no stats provided - I know it’s only a PSF but surely they should be “selling it” to those few punters that tune in, in the hope they come back sometime?

Thought it couldn't be worse than BBC Berks but it's so dull
