Snowflake Royal I'm just assuming brogue has a suit of ai bots scouring the internet 24/7 for any tiny scrap of info he can post up on here and shout "Seeeeeee! I told you Couhig/Trosclair/Jacobson/Richardson were shit!!!!1!!"

Yeah feel the same, would rather hear if this is good/bad/indifferent news from someone who knows what they're talking about rather than someone known for spreading shit and being anti-Couhig from day 1.

Isn’t Brogue a moderator of this site? Seems kinda weird to be peddling in ragebait spam if true.

You have a very odd perception of what a moderators role is.

I find this vendetta that Brogue has against Couhig, Trosclair and Richardson very disappointing. Couhig made it pretty clear he wants to sell the club on if or when we get back to the championship so why jeopardise the chance to do that. Richardson might not have been my choice but he deserves our support to get things right. Get behind the team, don't snipe from the sidelines.

Go on then I’ll bite. What he achieved in the 7 months he’s been here. The transfer window was a shambles. I think we can all agree on that. The match day experience he keeps banging on about, what’s changed? If anything the tannoy system is worse, where is the WiFi?. Where is the improved matchday food offering? Pukka pies in the east stand? Lol. The loss of physical tickets is controversial going digital only is not inclusive, membership scrapped. Reduced hours in the ticket office and the inability to book tickets over the phone is a regression. The club shop is awful that’s amazingly got worse since fanatics left. Unethical gambling sponsor on the kit. The pitch is shocking. Average attendances are down on last year. Ticket prices up parking prices up subsidised travel on buses stopped.

The manager situation has been handled badly. Should have just kept Noel instead of getting this nomark clown in. I mean Noel rightfully went. But that only worked if you replaced him with a better manager.

The one thing that can be said is he has made the club financially secure. But any new owner would have to have. What with the efl checking out every move and them only allowing someone who is going to be facially responsible.

We now have a missed payment to dai of 3.75 million which now means he has a security on the training ground.

We have an ex employee filing a winding up order against us due to owed money

They are late in filing the accounts.

I’m struggling here to understand exactly what they have done to improve anything. It’s all been bluster and lies so far.

Look I’m a reading fc fan and have been since the early 90’s I want the club to do well. I don’t want to revel in the clubs demise. I want couhig and Leam to be a success. Just like everyone else. I hope I’m wrong. I want to be wrong. I want to come on here and say yeah I got it wring. But the guy is riding on the coat tails of being the clubs saviour and is getting an easy ride from fans. And any criticism of him seems to not be allowed. I’m happy to shut the fcuk up and eat my own hat if things start going well. But all the evidence so far shows he hasn’t got enough money to support the club and needs to his big mouth shut setting unnecessary expectations.

You've done this before, it was answered before. The fact you're asking the question, and like this, shows you aren't interested in the answer.

Understand the concerns and you’re right to raise them. RC should be out front handling these and maintaining the open dialogue with supporters which I think he banged on about when buying. Well that seems to have gone awfully quiet since his high profile podcasting and Q&A tour that seemed to comprise much of the summer months and so fans like Brogue fill the silence with such speculation. We’ve got JJ on the ground locally, who would presumably be able to provide the necessary answers, but we seem to have a load of local journos who just don’t seem to pick up on these things and ask the relevant questions.

Do we know he's missed a payment? Perhaps this was by agreement? Defer payment now, freeing up money for the club in the short term, with the promise of more profits for Dai in the future?

Dealing with the devil no matter what the situation. Dai young now has a security out on bearwood. It’s there in black and white. And what it does indicate is couhig doesn’t have the money to support the club. If he did you wouldn’t be doing this jiggery pokery with the accounts. League one allow uncapped owner investment remember.

They have picked up on it. Difficult when the owner has gone full Trump and shut them out because he has thin skin and doesn't like being asked anything but softball questions.

I’d certainly like to hear the explanation but not going to worry too much in the meantime

Not sure criticism of the manager is well time considering the considerable turn round in fortunes since LR took over

Given Couhig was at the game today, I'd hope one of the journos would seek him out and ask him, but given they are so poor at their job I very much doubt that will happen.

The club exists. Everyone is getting paid. We're not under any transfer embargo. We have a competitive squad and still have promotion hopes in January.

Honestly Brogue - if you don't accept that as a reasonable situation to be in after the last few years then I just don't know what to say to you.

The idea that we should criticise Couhig because 'any new owner would achieve the same' is for the birds. What other owners? And you only have to take a look at other clubs in very recent history to see that new owners have come in and been an absolute disaster. The new owners of Hamilton Academics have just threatened to put the club into liquidation if the players strike over not getting paid.

At some point down the line maybe we'll look back at Couhig and decide that he did a bad job as owner. Definitely possible. But . . . mate . . . just show a bit of gratitude and patience for the time being.

Maybe using this facility is giving Couhig added space to operate in the transfer market.

In not handing over the 3m, could mean spending a little more in this transfer window.
