windermereROYAL I thought it was common knowledge that when it clashes with PL 3.0.clocks Sky+ don`t show it.

Yes all us Reading supporters would tune in to watch Reading and not go to a PL game instead :o

Royals and Racers
John Madejski's Wallet Anyone know if this will be on TV/available to stream?

The folks I go with aren't around and not sure I can be arsed with the cold on my tod

The match is not on SKY + so the only way to watch live is the same as people do for Saturday 3pm Royals TV matches.( foreign VPN)

Do you really need a foreign VPN if it's not a Saturday 3pm ko?

Reading FC say it’s not available to UK viewers so the answer is yes, unless as an alternative you have a dodgy firestick.

Just had a look at the Stockport squad that won here last season to the one that started against Northampton on the 27th, there`s just 5 of them left and one of them is the keeper.
Not sure if that`s a good thing or not because they were convincing winners here last January.

Sadly both Wootton & Norwood are still present though. Going to be a very difficult game and LR needs to make the right calls.

For virtually any KO. Maybe one or two a season get made available to UK a season.

If you don't have a VPN already and can't get a free trial, it’s not worth it for one game. But you can buy a season pass for ~£180 and a VPN for ~£35 a year, at which point, wven if you go to most home matches you're getting, let's say 20 games for abot £11 each.

And if you don't get to home games, and you watch most online, it's about £5 a game.

Think that the game could be shown given the number of today’s “3pm’s” that are on (below) but then of course that’d pull viewers away from PL the games

Everton v Brentford - Sky Sports Golf ( :D )
Fulham v Liverpool - Sky Sports Main Event
Newcastle v Palace - Sky Sports Premier League
Spurs v Sunderland - Sky Sports Football

Is that something that also requires a VPN or Firestick?

Tough game.

Our players will be shattered.

I'll consider a draw a decent result. :|

Agree it'll be tough, but will Stockport not be tired from the festive schedule too? This is our second consecutive home game and we beat Burton in 2nd gear.

If we lose it'll be because Stockport are better; tiredness no excuse.

Yes - if anything Stockport will be more tired with a longish trip to Northampton the other day followed by a long treck south yesterday.

It will certainly be a tough one, Stockport have been typically strong away from home this season but I'm hoping the fact this is their second away game in a row while this is our second home game in a row may work out in our favour.

I saw a Stockport fan the other day reviewing this game, he said they haven`t been playing particularly well and didn`t have an on target shot against Northampton until the hour mark.
3-0 defeat it is then.

I just thought we'd have less reserve as squad is already stretched. Good points about travel though.

Let's hope the club hasn't cut back on the undersoil heating-I see that Oxford and Swindon games are off.

@ReadingFC
All set at the stadium

The pitch is in great condition and the surrounds clear of ice.
Please take care on local access roads and wrap up warm.

Sutekh Referee
Jacob Miles

Previously
26 Aug 25 > Reading 1-2 Wimbledon

I don't think that's right. Miles refereed our 2-1 victory over Wimbledon in the League Cup (which was on that date).

The 2-1 defeat in the League was 10 days earlier, partially due to the incompetence of referee Jamie O'Connor. I note that O'Connor didn't get another League 1 game until this week, with most of his subsequent games being in the National League.

Postponements piling up in L1, the following are off which would make Reading’s climb of the table easier should they be able to get a win together today

Reading are currently 11th

23rd Doncaster Rovers v Luton Town 8th
24th Port Vale v Barnsley 16th
22nd Rotherham United v Mansfield Town 10th
7th Stevenage v Leyton Orient 19th

Peterborough (9th) are currently drawing 1-1 at Lincoln (2nd).
