Scutterbucketz Amazing scenes. With 10 minutes to go I put a fiver on Reading to win at 66/1 :D :D :D :D

How would you have got 66/1 a goal down with 10 minutes to go plus added time?

Sutekh Absolute credit to Leam for the right substitutions for the second game running.

Mansfield is a vital game now, not least because it’s our game in hand.

Most relieved to hear the end of match booing.

Mansfield bang out of form right now which worries me because as far as I recall, so were Orient and Wimbledon!

So bang out of form that they made Premier League Arsenal the champions elect work really hard for their single goal win and did what not many Premier League teams have done this season by scoring a goal against them.

Arsenal made 9 changes, lower level teams usually up their game against Prem opposition. Mansfield have 1 win in 10 in the league, but they do have 6 draws in that.

They played very well today. But hopefully it’ll be a case of difficult to get back up for the game on Tuesday whilst we’ll be buzzing

I know. That’s what it was on 79 minutes. I haven’t been following the game so just assumed the high odds meant we were playing shite.

Most of the side that started were proven first teamers and it took Eze with a screamer to seal the win.

Back to more important things-Reading Fc.
I just checked-today we committed more fouls (20) than any other team in the division.
As I posted the other week , we are turning into the archetypal Northern third division side with3 lumps at the back, a packed midfield and plenty of long balls so a bit like Rotherham of old, the same Rotherham that LR managed.

Very effective and well done by the manager for getting us up the table and accumulating a very good number of points - successful it may be but I really don't enjoy watching us.
A mate came round to see it on TV (Bournemouth didn't have a game) and asked if that was how we play every week.
The obvious answer was "yes" and he kindly didn't say much more about it than "great result".

Obviously I will carry on going to home matches but this is the first season for a very long time I have questioned my desire to go , not least because my family in Reading has got smaller and smaller and going to matches means that I see some of them every fortnight.
I detect that there are quite a few on here who don't go anymore-I wonder if it is because of our style or just for other reasons.

Well, quite, I'm not enjoying the performances at all and it has put me off going to away games, largely because I go alone. Go to home games with family so makes that easier.

Snowflake Royal Poor Jack Wilshere, his team absolutely suicided out there.

If it was horse racing or Italian football big enquiries would be made about Luton gifting us 3 goals.
As posted earlier, LR is a very lucky manager which is better than being a good but unlucky manager.

Very pleased for Kelvin who has come in to do what Marriott has done, score goals from very, very few chances.

Well done Scutts for your brave bet-you might as well put all of the winnings on us to get promoted-the Gods and everything else are certainly with us.

The defending and often keeping in this division is crap. That’s my one big take away from this season!

Every team seems to make a couple of really significant mistakes each game and we’ve been better at capitalising on them the opposition more often than not

Yep, put L1 defenders under pressure and their touch and passing isn't good to cope reliably. It's also why we concede a bunch of goals too.

Like the way Ritchie was celebrating the second before Kelvin even touched it - he knew it was such a great cross…

Marriott has missed 7 games this season. Our record without Marriott? Unbeaten…

W5 D2 L0 avg 2.4 ppg

With Marriott W9 D8 L6 1.5 ppg

Despite his goals we are a better TEAM when Marriott doesn’t play.

Yeah alright mate, just nicking my posts now

Anyway, I don’t think the sample is quite big enough to push the point too much but I would say that we became unnecessarily reliant on Marriott when he was fit (I’d have rotated him more with Kelvin, kelvin has 6 in 10 starts now) and that we wouldn’t have been in relegation trouble without him as quite a few claimed

My apologies I didn’t realise you’d posted a ppg comparison. it’s sometimes difficult to keep up, especially when someone has 27,000+ team board posts to wade through.
