Mid Sussex RoyalSouthDownsRoyal Twitter is full of rubbish
Yes completely agree re Twitter, but something's not right with this appointment. It doesn't take that long to get a work permit, particularly for someone who's worked in the UK recently...was also nowhere to be seen on Sat.
Season starts 3 weeks Sat....no players, no manager...very worrying if we go another week with nothing

I was fairly positive until the end of last week. However, even ignoring the rubbish on Twitter things are obviously not right. I think for the first time since the days of Maxwell I am really starting to fear the worst.
Also, unless a local billionaire wants to buy the club I don’t see us getting any buyers. I can see why someone like Mike Ashley wanted to buy Coventry and Derby but I don’t think we hold the same attraction.

Think we’d be more attractive than that pair personally
Wonder what Dai would take to sell?

Mike Ashley is from Maidenhead originally, but despite growing up in the area he was a Spurs fan, not us the Super Berkshire carpet ballers.

Really don't see why we'd be any less attractive than Coventry were. How many league clubs have gone out of business because no one wanted to buy them in the last 20 years... its just Bury isn’t it. And loads have been at panic stations. We only cease if Dai doesn't want an owner. Even if carrying on means years of L2 or NL.
Also, oxf*rd Billionaires. Give me a multi-millionaire to whom a few million means something and will run us with a degree of sanity.
There's no point in a billionaire, they can only put in £13m a year in the Championship and look where that got us.

I’d settle for a multi millionaire who could run the club sensibly over the next few years.
I mentioned Coventry purely on the basis that they’ve sold almost 18,000 season tickets and I could see that appealing to a new owner. We’d need someone like Mike Ashley to see that our fans would come flocking back if we had something to cheer.

I don't think Mike Ashley is particularly known for his benevolence.

We've had benevelence, I'd like competency. And he ran Newcastle on a budget despite the spend spend spend Geordie demands.

Most importantly he managed to appoint proper football managers during his time rather than a load of overrated coaches.

Carver, Shearer and McClaren were hardly roaring successes...
