Hound Yeah I’m with Brogue on this. Anything north of 1.5m is fantastic business really.

I’m really hoping Carey has something lined up to bring in. If the EFL aren’t letting us do that then the second half of the season will be about as much fun as the last Deadpool movie (ie not at all)

Yakou on loan is an obvious one which would suit him and us, but no doubts plenty of strikers in a similar position who would come

I don't see why the EFL would or should give us special dispensation to sign a replacement, unfortunately. It's all entirely of Dai's doing.

May as well try some of the academy players up top, as Wareham isn't up to it. Ehib has tried it, but it isn't his best position. Who knows, maybe Noel Hunt will register himself as a player and give it a go!

Who else is there from the Academy?

Coke-Miles-toomanynames?
Okine-Peters?

Our options are basically, Knibbs, Wareham, Ehibhatiomhan or Dean (lol papes), and three of them are already starting elsewhere.

I'd probably say Knibbs is the most likely, ideally we'd have a fit RB, allowing Craig to play DM and Wing to then replace Knibbs further forward.

Annoying Elliot being out doesn't help either.

I don’t know either but I don’t know why they let us sign Campbell so who knows

Abrefa is fit. So is Rushesha. Not sure about Ahmed.

2m being bandied about. I’m sorry, we’ve absolutely fleeced them if true. When I first heard the story I was thinking 300-500k

Great lad and I like him as a player but that’s silly money

Highly irritating that after years of overpaying and underselling we seem to be getting good value for players (1m for Abbey and Holmes each also very good if accurate) we can’t reinvest it because Dai is a cock

Maybe, but spending 2m now on a proven L1 striker and possibly securing auto promotion is a pretty solid gamble.

It certainly doesn’t secure promotion. Maybe gives them more of a chance. They are currently 6 points behind 2nd and Hudders (who i think are a much stronger team) can get within 1 point if they win their game in hand

That's exactly what "possibly secure automatic promotion" means.

£2million is the overall fee if all obligations are met.

Ok I took the word secure as being from a position of strength in that context. Whereas I wouldn’t say they are favourites atm

I know, I think they would probably know what to do more than Dean tbh. But it's not the worst idea.

Is what it is.

Who knows if Wareham gets a run of starts, he might become the player he sometimes looks like he could be.

well. I won't be watching any further episodes of Welcome to Wrexham & look forward to their inevitable demise when Rob & Ryan get bored
