Mid Sussex Royal
Pepe the Horseman On another day we win that comfortably. Their first goal came from absolutely nowhere, and their second goal was a lucky deflection after the ref missed an obvious foul.

Marriott's finishing is ridiculous. His shots to goals ratio must be one of the best in the division.

New signings look very good.

Keane should start on Tuesday. Think we'll win that one by 4 or 5.

I was thinking that too but then saw Exeter's recent form....

Only thing I'll say is most of their good results have been at home, hopefully they're shit away because beating Wimbledon and Port Vale isn't exactly impressive.

Hound Just back - suprised by the positivity on here!

Didn’t think it was much of a game at all tbh. Usual issues for us, no presence up top, ball keep coming back, defensive mistakes. A couple of good bits of play, Marriott scoring with his first touch in the 84th minute , Doyle costing us a goal by being soft and weak. Lane not involved enough, DK neat and tidy (but we want quick and creative)

Subs made too late and we struggled to make any chances - can only really think of the Keane one that had the crowd off their seats

Barnsley not too hot. Pretty much the performance from the team and management that writes off the play offs for me

Marriott's first touch? That's ridiculous. He kept laying off good balls to people in good positions.

Basically this, although I'm not convinced we should start with Keane yet.

Thought Ehibhatiomhan looked positive again when he came on too.

Maybe not, shame we were even less impressive when losing at home to Wimbledon!

Kelvin brought a load of energy and directness but seemed to have a bad last 5 mins, bit like Luton the other week.

I think we went 3-4-1-2 with Kelvin as CAM and it seemed to be work ok. Prob best shape we had all match

It’s maybe worth a go next game but I think he’ll go back to 4231 with Doyle back in unfortunately

It`s the normal rubbish I`m reading that we didn`t win so we were shit, far from it IMO, Barnsley have had our number in recent seasons, on another day we`re beating them comfortably today, 4 or 5 times we`ve got to the line in the second half and the final ball just hasn`t been there.
They didn`t really hurt us, their first goal saw Yids get rinsed, it didn`t happen again, and the second was a cruel deflection. even though I couldn`t see it from my seat.
Bring Noel back blah blah blah. what`s wrong with these nutters?

I`ve always held hound in high regard, but that`s just about the most ridiculous post I`ve ever seen him put on here. good lord.has somebody hacked your account?
The Keane chance was his first touch when he didn`t quite get enough on a cross from Danny K.

In fact, he got too much on it ... he was stretching for it and it needed more of a gentle touch, but it wasn't a glaring miss by any means.

Seems like Wimbledon of now are a different animal to what they were at the start of the season, so perhaps we were unfortunate to play them at home when they were at their best and we were at our worst.

I’m being facetious obvs. But he barely contributed in the rest of the game

It’s fine if all he can offer is 1 good finish a game - great and good for him. But we cant have sustained success with him up top on his own imo and need to change the system or we’ll continue to get disappointing performances and results

Stick Keane up alongside him and maybe we’ll improve

No scapegoats necessary, I found it to be an entertaining game.

The new signings (loan or not) seem to be keen to impress.

Enjoyed it and as far as I’m concerned, that’s what it’s all about.
