GreatwesternlineSanguineYorkshireRoyal99 Are Red Bird the one's who only own AC Milan at the moment? No other clubs or?
I won't get too excited about this until it is all ratified, but this is pretty solid stuff if indeed RedBird are getting involved. They own AC Milan and bought a 10% stake in FSG a couple of years ago, so in essence are minority shareholders at Liverpool. These are their biggest brands, but they have also invested heavily in a number of sports tech firm - fantasy gaming, entertainment venues similar to TopGolf, content creation for US sports teams.
In fact I can't for the life of me understand why they need William Storey involved much past the initial relationship with Dai.
Exactly this

They’re busy men so possibly time. Maybe they want someone in the UK to be their voice and to be close to what’s going on.

When he tried to sponsor the F1 team didn't they find that he basically only had £500 in the bank?
He is one of those shysters who spends other people's money isn't he? He is just a face.
Bit like the labour Party!

What power will they have if he makes a complete horlicks of running everything? Presumably could bring in their own CEO and Board?

Exactly like the Labour Party and all other socialists.
Whereas Communists want to legalise the actual theft of other peoples money.
In both cases whilst seeking to accumulate their own wealth and power by the same means of course.
Anyway; this is a little like the Family Guy ‘let’s start a rumour’ episode….
Unless a Football Club is owned by its fans; or by the likes of SJM (rarer than ever these days) they are owned by relatively shady characters.
Shady either politically or financially or both.
It’s just the degree of shady was that varies.
We need to sort our ‘sh4t’ out urgently - otherwise it’s further relegation and ignominy that await…
And, instead of protest groups…. (Venting of deeply held and totally sincere feelings about the Club) that on practical terms, so little….
Fans need to find a way of buying the Club.
If this is not pursued; the fans can await the new owner in due course …
Without having a say as to who it is.
‘Protesting’ as a long term strategy becomes a destructive, negative force.

Brogue well his latest tweet is
The deal was brokered by Nigel Howe who was contacted by William storey when Nigel put some fellers out to a few contacts. William storey then contacted redbird for the extra funding. William knows redbird through F1

from my understanding this sale was verbally completed over 3 weeks ago but because of NDA’s it isn’t announced. EFL vetting is at a half advanced stage #readingfc

There was a lot of chatter after the Bolton game that went quiet.
It's all plausible tbh, but all still rumour.

WestYorksRoyal Dellor seems to reporting to the contrary - no mention of Red Bird and his sources think the bid will fail.
