Not long back from that trip, so will just put a few points which have come to mind down:
I think everyone's missed the tactical change we made today: we were often playing a 5-2-2-1/3-4-2-1 without the ball, shifting into a 4-2-3-1 with it:
5-2-2-1/3-4-2-1 Perreira
O'Connor - D Williams - Dorsett
Abrefa - Wing - Savage - R Williams
Doyle - Kyerewaa
Ehibhatiomhan
In the first half especially, it allowed us to match up to Bradford and control possession for decent chunks. Fundamentally though, we failed to create anything of note - aside from the early Doyle/Ehibhatiomhan shots which came from a defensive error. I do wonder how the game would've panned out had we scored from that opportunity.
Both of their goals were avoidable: we allowed the ball to come into the box far too easily for the first (no-one was closing down) and Randell Williams(?) didn't attempt to head the ball for the header which lead to the knock back. We ended up in a situation where O'Connor was competing for pace with their attacker for the second - which ended in the expected fashion.
I think Derrick Williams was the only player who had a decent game today. None of the subs had any impact on the game. Once again, Wing and Savage were sitting too deep to have any real impact on the game; thought it was odd Doyle ended up on the left wing in the second half. We didn't challenge Sam Walker; although I can't think of Bradford having too many chances outwith their goals.
Honestly feels like we're waiting for the transfer window now to make fundamental changes - and that's simply going to be a concession the business in the summer was poor. Not sure I trust the club to get the January window right either.
