Sutekh Still cannot understand how, given the available coaching and scouting staff and the approach to making signings that the club had around 2006, how on earth Emerse Fae was ever found anywhere near the club let alone signed for several million, esp. without an “insurance” signing of someone the club knew would perform if the Fae “opportunity” failed miserably.

Ilori had talent but has never fitted in anywhere and been moved on regularly. He’s now 31 and at Belenenses. His time at Reading is still by far his most productive spell at any of his clubs.

Mass Sarr, didn’t he only get a gig at the club as someone purporting to be George Weah rang Tommy Burns and said to sign him as he was his cousin or something?

Keown”s just put out an autobiography. Wonder if he bothers mentioning any of his time at the club. His son would have been better for the club if he had had the opportunity but sadly he moved to Scotland and has been lost now to injury.

I don't think Keown's a particularly fair pick. He came on a pay as you play deal, we knew he was crocked and he probably spent less than half an hour on the pitch in total. I reckon he was brought in more for to try for his coaching badges.

Ferdinand on the other hand, physically still looked the part, scored 1 goal in 12 appearances, missed some absolute howlers and the most notable thing about his time here was that he once travelled to training in a helicopter.

And delayed the start of an academy match at Hogwood because he parked his helicopter on the wrong pitch.

South Coast Royal Saluko

but above all others and because how his signing symbolised the dreadful management of our club it has to be Saluko as first pick.

Thought you were talking about John Salako at first, and that seemed very harsh.

Seems you were talking about Sone Aluko and merged the spelling with Salako.
