rabidbee Sorry, you're right and I'm wrong. It will appear in the Gazette seven days after a court hearing date is set, according to the Gazette.

https://www.thegazette.co.uk/all-notices/content/100380
According to the Business Insolvency Helpline the advertisement can appear 'as early as seven business days from service' (of petition) so that implies it could be longer.

What to do if have received a HRMC winding up petition?
If you have received a winding up petition from HMRC, you should not ignore it. The next step will be a court hearing and your company could be wound up and put into compulsory liquidation. You must act quickly and one key date to look at is the date of the winding up hearing, but this does not represent how much time you have to take action, as, for example, the petition can be advertised as early as seven business days from service. Advertisement of the petition will freeze your bank accounts.

Either way and for whatever reason, a search of The London Gazette would suggest it hasn't yet been advertised.

One mildly annoying thing, is when the petition first appeared on some website (I don't recall which, but you need a log in to get to it) it was confirmed and noted everywhere - earlier this week a change was noted on the petition but no-one with access seems to have bothered to check what the change was - it could be that it has been paid, it could be that there is a supporter of the petition, it could be a hearing date or some small technical change.

Would be useful to know what that change was.

Well quite Green.

If there is, even if we've paid HMRC we could still be neck deep in the brown stuff.

That site doesn't list what the change was unfortunately:

According to Dellor the tax bill has only been partially paid. Details should be revealed on BBCRB this morning. Apparently, in football term’s it’s not a large sum of money. My concern is why couldn’t we pay it in one go? Anyway, time will tell.

The only thing I can think of is a dispute over what the tax is for - ie. we don't believe we're liable for the part we didn't pay. If it's not a large sum in footballing terms (I'm guessing less than £100k), we should surely be able to pay it.

Supposedly we've paid £500k of the HMRC bill, with £500k still outstanding: https://twitter.com/RFCLatest/status/16 ... 7772362754

So it`s exactly a million, how convenient, that`s a nice round figure.

I wish as part of “sell before we Dai” campaign someone could organise a crowd fund to help the football club. I would happily pay £500.00.

Is there a daily limit you can pay HMRC?

You want ordinary people to help pay the tax bill of a business owned by a billionaire??

You'd have to think that we wouldn't be so short-sighted to allow a dispute with HMRC to keep our transfer embargo in force? I mean, surely just pay up now and continue arguing the toss afterwards and maybe get a refund down the line.

I can't think of any reason that we haven't paid the over 0.5m other than we literally don't have the money (or that we've allocated it for other stuff), which is genuinely scary.

What about all the season ticket money they've just got?

It must be close to £2m.

Save it until you need it for buying. Dai will just piss it up the wall.

If Dai has oxf*rd off I certainly would. I can’t speak for anyone else.
