Pepe the Horseman
dontbedaft Down to 3 teams now.

Championship
Leeds 109pts
Sheff Utd 106pts

League 1
Birmingham 118pts

Am I alone in thinking that after Birmingham beat their closest rival today to keep their run going that it's time for them to kick back and relax because promotion and the championship is in the bag? Take some time off guys! How about some team bonding events with loads of heavy drinking involved?

We're still 3 points ahead of them in comparison, which is mental considering they win almost every game.

If they keep pulling in the wins, fair enough, they're now basically clear and done, so expect some results to dip.

….whatever, but it won’t be a Championship record (and obvs, ours is the superior record).

Birmingham fans seem to be only interested in promotion followed by beating Wolves L1 record of 103 points.
They don’t appear to be too bothered about our 106 and fair fooks to them and their Championship expensed team.

Clyde1998
Sutekh Brum drop down to a 118 possible max.

They're still three points behind us at the same number of games - game 30 for us was the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. Worth noting, that was a month earlier in the calendar year - as the current season is more spread out than the 2005-06 season.

EDIT: Our run-in from this point was:

Crystal Palace (A) - D1-1 - 73pts
Norwich (H) - W4-0 - 76pts
Crewe (A) - W4-3 - 79pts
Southampton (H) - W2-0 - 82pts
Sheff Utd (A) - D1-1 - 83pts
Luton (A) - L3-2 - 83pts
Preston (H) - W2-1 - 86pts
Burnley (A) - W3-0 - 89pts
Watford (H) - D0-0 - 90pts
Wolves (H) - D1-1 - 91pts
Leicester (A) - D1-1 - 92pts
Derby (H) - W5-0 - 95pts
Cardiff (A) - W5-2 - 98pts
Leeds (A) - D1-1 - 99pts
Stoke (H) - W3-1 - 102pts
Sheff Wed (A) - D1-1 - 105pts
QPR (H) - W2-1 - 106pts

I remember that Palace game it was on a friday night. I watched it in a pub that no longer exists with my old man and my little brother. I was only 12 working it out but yeah we were well into it lol Andy effing Johnson always scored against us didn't he. My dad affectionally named him the poison dwarf

Yeah good old Hahnemann was bossing him tho in that game then he won that shitty penalty after kicking the ball out of play  He got there first tho that was the thing we fell into the trap can just remember us screaming injustice at the time. Then we went up the other end and scored anyway so we didn't give a hoot??

Literally 30 odd seconds after the match restart kick off. That epitomised us that season. As soon as someone scored against us we would go up the other end and score.

James Harper with a goal that is is etched into my memory. It was truly epic and I love that guy. Harps was a bad man weren't he?? Used to always wear his socks well low and I copied him to be honest. When I played in about the 14th tier of English football. But yeah me and Harps were doing it way before Grealish and that were put it that way.

This may have inspired me to make a 106 season memories thread btw but not now I'm going sleep haha night night watch this space

tidus_mi2 Well, whatever minutes Trafford is at, Death now only has the 4th tier record. It was a good run I suppose.

Not quite that simple. The last match of the run, of which 5 minutes or so count in the record, were at the start of the following season, and in the third tier.

How long did Death go without an opposition player scoring... the goal to break the run was an OG wasn't it?

Burnley conceded on 42 mins tonight. Has DeatH’s record already gone?

I believe it has. Fair play, that's some run for James Trafford, at 1,132 minutes without conceding a goal, beating Death's football league record by 29 minutes.

Just the 7 bookings for time wasting in that run though

How many bookings did Death get - ever?

Does Trafford's run include stoppage time? It was never recorded in any stats in Death's day.

Other record to look at, while it would have been nice for Brum to do us a favour and beat Bolton, it was good to see their point maximum drop to 115.

Think it could come down to how much they want to keep going after they are up, also hope the EFL trophy is a distraction at the end of the month.

There run in is even kinder than ours, basically only Barnsley at home and maybe Blackpool away look like points dropping potential.

3 of their last 4 are against the bottom 4, who could all be down by then.

No. Because there is no such thing.
Games only last 90 minutes. Stoppage time replaces time lost during the game and isn’t in addition to the 90 minutes. Reporting of goals in the 97th minute is just confusing as 7 of those minutes never actually happened. Elapsed time from kick off is not the same as playing time.

Or to put it another way if you want to include stoppage time in Trafford's total you should delete the time from the 90 minutes when play was stopped
