cmonurz 'The problem is that Hunt is a pushy little f*cker'? Come on, this isn't William Twigg Reserves, it's a professional football club. If Hunt wasn't the player tasked with taking most set pieces then we wouldn't take them.

Maybe he is/isn't, but he isn't "tasked" with taking pens. Coppell says whoever wants to take them

And SHunt has missed two* this season, (both, strangely enough, won by Shane Long)

* He got lucky with one that had to be retaken, and then he scored.

West Stand Man, in the matches that I've seen Tyson play recently he just looks very direct and a touch quick when he's got the ball. He's a left sided player (not one of our prolific areas just recently) who has a sweet shot. Who can forget that volley against Citeh in the Cup this season? Plus he's a Reading lad to boot. Okay he's had injuries but I can't help but feel that he's come on leaps and bounds since he left us.

CMRoyal
BR2
Wycombe Royal I'm more inclined to wonder where they were when our counter attack broke down and Forest did a counter counter attack?

If they weren't supporting the attack and they weren't back defending then where were they?

The space McGugan had to run into (unchallenged from inside his own half to the edge of our penalty area) was criminal.

And this time it couldn't be Harper's fault .
Anybody else notice that Marek let him stroll past him?

No. He tried to keep with him, when he knew he couldn't he gave up the chase and for some reason Peracey didn't close the guy down. Not blaming Pearce, but at some point the midfield always hands over to the defenders in this type of situation.

Maybe so, and Matejovsky isnt in the side for his defending, but Harper wouldnt have given up on that because he wouldve been able to keep up and not just get the wrong side and shoved off so easily. Harper probably wouldve held the guy up but without actually making a tackle

Thats the different between Harper and our other midfielders and sometimes the things he doesnt get credit for

It's a shame he didn't manage to track his man at home to Bolton last season then.

I agree with that he has come on since he left. My view is that he wouldn't add any value to this squad though.
