Purely as a match going fan I'm all for League 1;

More Saturday 3pm kick-offs
Fewer opportunities to be shafted by Sky
Potential of matches in the international break
New grounds/grounds we haven't visited for years
FA Cup 1st/2nd Round

Yes we would absolutely struggle to get back up but we've outstayed our spell in the Championship.

Dirk Gently WRTTOP, potentially away trips to Carlisle - just about the best away old-school ground still surviving in the Football League.

if it isn't flooded

Not sure I could stomach a first round exit to a team like Truro or Maidenhead

Better than a third round exit to a team like Kidderminster.

Something new.
Different teams.
The dismantling of the last remnants of the expensive failures in our squads.
Maybe a new owner.
Probably a new manager.
Being a bigger fish in a smaller pond without being the big club everyone wants to beat.
Outside chance of a local game for me and if not probably a local derby with Oxford.
Better prospect of winning games and finishing mid-table or above.
More game time from the Academy lads at an easier level for them to transition into the first team.

Probably a few people

But doubt Dai will sell anyway. It’s still a football game every week and we may even win a few next year.

FFP issues largely behind us, Championship infrastructure with PL potential, one of the best Academies in the country at relative low point for the last 20 odd years, near London. Prospect of buying cheap and then selling at a profit once back in the Championship.

How often do clubs go out of business and not find owners? Very very rarely.

Relegation sounds just fabulous

I can’t believe we and others clubs try to avoid it

Wigan, Blackpool, QPR, Cardiff must be gutted they are picking up points

Barely any players left due to contracts running out. Anyone we do have whomis worth anything will have to be sold.

The Academy is not producing anywhere near the same quality of player it has produced in previous years, and a lot of them will likely be out of contract themselves in the Summer anyway.

We have a Chief Scout, but no scouts in his department. To build that up you need to invest, and League 1 represents a significant drop in revenue which will make it harder for us to do that.

It's a long road back folks.
