Platypuss I don't rate us for second either. :|

So you agree with the article which rates Burnley and Millwall's chances?

It doesn't rate Millwall's chances at all - have you actually read it?

"One team who are not in automatic promotion contention but could play a part in shaping the race is Millwall - the Lions have already beaten QPR and Burnley, as well as holding Forest, and have Cardiff, Leeds and Swansea to play."

Burnley were 3 points above us when the piece was written.

Yep. I was wrong and apologise to you.

Did you notice that they didn't even include us in the play off/promo section of the round up on the Football League Show last night?! Even then Leroy Rosenior went on about our YOUNG side?!?! Obv hadnt read the teamsheet!!! And have we even been featured match more than once or twice...let alone on live on the beeb?!

There is always one team that comes from nowhere....this year I think it's US!!!!! Carry on talking about Leeds, Forest and Cardiff....none of them are going up! :?

Svlad Cjelli
PEARCEY
Svlad Cjelli Not this season. We were last year at Newcastle.

Were we? The 3=0 defeat? Are you sure Dirk?

I thought so. I was there so didn't see the coverage myself, but was pretty sure that was BBC rather than Sky. I'll check.....

Are you sure it wasn't Doncaster away last season that was live on the Beeb......

Given what Floyd has pretty accurately said is our record on BBC MOTD - NO!

!970 - one regional appearance
1983 - one news item / highlights on lowest gate ever
1996 - one proper coverage v Man U

Always been the Reading way to stay below the radar. SJM has said many times that he does not want the tv cameras showing live games as it would mean more money coming into the club. This would lead to players wanting more money themselves. SJM is also aware of the mong fraternity that inhabits the East Stand and has no desire to inflict them upon the good people of this country.

We weren't included as that first section was based on the table pre the featured games when we were 11th - seems a fair cut off point to me.

10 points behind Norwich, and 9 behind Swansea, but with a game in hand on both. Still, with 8 games to go assuming we win the game in hand I don't exactly fancy our chances of catching both those teams - so fair play BBC. We're 18-1 to finish in the top 3, and rightly so because we don't have a hope. I'd take the playoffs right now.

Presume we win our game in hand for a moment, then we are 7 and 6 behind, but Norwich have to play Swansea (the day we play at Forest)...

NORWICH H Scunthorpe, Forest, Derby, Coventry A Swansea, Watford, Ipswich, Portsmouth

SWANSEA A Preston, Burnley, Portsmouth, Millwall H Norwich, Hull, Ipswich, Sheffield United (Should win, but Utd may need the points to stay up... then..)

If we can get past Pompey and beat Preston, one of these two might well be caught. Swansea have 4 tough away games, could lose them all, and Norwich/Hull

It's not all over yet.

This seems to be a popular misconception amongst media, some fans and even our own players who I have heard refer to our young team.

We have a very young squad, and have played pretty some young teams. I can only think of Ivar, Gun, Harte & Griffin who are over 30 in our entire squad, that's a pretty small proportion. McAnuff, Zurab and maybe one or two others aren't far off, but generally our players are mostly 25 or under.
