roadrunner
Royal Lady Jay!!! I thought you'd left!

I never said that, Tredder said that. I asked to come off the prediction league because I post so little now.

Good - I'm glad you haven't left. Tredder is an idiot.

He really isn't in the right frame of mind right now i'd imagine. Without being harsh, bad idea.

I disagree - a new club and a move to a different part of the country might be just what he needs to start 2012 afresh after the tragedy he and his wife suffered.

Apparently there was a done deal pre season between Saints and Donny but Sharp refused the move due to personal reasons. Now that those reasons may have gone way the deal may be resurrected. Saints are in the market for a striker and will splash the cash to get their promotion bit back on track

Did you see the massive look of surprise on BMcD's face when asked in the post match interview if we were signing Billy Sharp.

Either he's surprised Sky knew or it's news to him and it's an early birthday present from SJM.

i would be over the moon with that signing but it would take in the region of £2m to sign billy sharp, and we don't have that for one player right now?

On Football League Weekend he said he wouldn't rule it out but we have to sell some people first ...

I am sure he is surprised to see us linked to Billy Sharp, as would most RFC supporters. I think a new winger to replace Kebe when he goes, a more established left back and CB cover would be higher on his priority list.

Even if one of our existing strikers goes, then I doubt that would bring in enough money to fund the signing of Sharp.

Probably just actual shock at being linked with him. Never going to happen and not right for us.

Would be a great signing but it won't happen! Not enough funds and we've just signed Shepp. I want another CM more cover and more creativity

Just POSSIBLY we have Prem interest for (say) Hunt at WBA, at nmaybe 1.5 Mill, and Keb's at 500K

and McD thinks a 2M striker would do the trick

IF we were losing a front player like Hunt or Church, I could see a ready-made being bought
with Alf-Shepp maybe being the two fighting for the second-spot and them being the 1-2 in 2013

Or he may see Shepp as a wide player.

Sharp is a player who suits this club, though i don't think we need him.

Yeah we don't need a striker who scored 1 in 2 at this level last year

:| how many strikers do we have? Are we seriously lacking goals at the moment? There is no point buying more and more strikers, please tell me you're not that stupid.
