cmonurz As my first and only match this season will be Forest at home, I am naturally hoping we are in a position to secure promotion by beating Forest a week on Tuesday.

You haven't been to a single game!?

I know, hard to be believe with my encyclopedic knowledge of the club and astute tactical observations, isn't it.

I am out of the country until the next home game, will be on a plane during the Brighton game and will not be able to even follow what is happening at the Southampton game

I shall be hoping that West Ham get the bare minimum so that promotion is won when I can be there

RFCUK Also, it would be quite comical if Birmingham won today, and beat West Ham on Tuesday, just to see them two points behind West ham. That would seriously put the pressure on West Ham

And then we don't do well at Brighton/Saints and suddenly Birmingham
can take second of us at home, last game of the season

West Ham don't play until the Monday night of the weekend we play Palace. Have to admit that it would be rubbish if that was the night we went up.

I think there is pressure on Southampton now - they are playing first on BH round of games and do not think they will win at Palace.

Had a really physical match yesterday as well and their players looked shattered after game yesterday - that late goal could have done some damage to confidence.

Snowball I'll be staggered if we win at Brighton and Saints.

You & me both!

Lose at Brighton, draw at Southampton, that's my prediction (which is usually wrong by the way).

Got to be honest I am getting bloody nervous. I think if we manage to keep the gap to WHU to 4 points in a weeks time we'll have done well.

I'd take a defeat at Brighton if it meant 3 pts at St Mary's. Would be over the moon with 4 pts from those 2. If we did that I can't see anyone stopping us.

Come on Birmingham - Burke is playing out of his skin right now. Fancy them to get something from that game.

Yeah, we've all got pretty used to somehow winning all these games - next two are so tough I'm still feel fairly apprehensive at the moment. In a week's time it could look much tougher.

If we were VERY generous to West Ham & gave them 4 wins from 5 then 3 wins gets us over the line....

I will be an honorary Birmingham fan tomorrow night that's for sure!

Our last 3 away games are against teams who have lost just 6 out of 62 games at home between them...

I'd rather that, than playing a team like Peterborough though

We seem to play better against the "footballing sides"

We have nothing to fear though. West Ham were on a 'run' when we played them. Actually think we have a better chance of beating Saints than Brighton but hey what do I know?

I think if we're going to secure promotion now we'll have it wrapped up before the final day.

Mon/Tue is key.

If we did actually beat Brighton & then WHU failed to beat Brum, we'd be 6 clear, possibly 7 with 4 games left. That could be the final nail in their coffin & their heads might go after that. We shall see.

The other way around.....well I don't want to think about that really!

Would be good to have it done at Palace but for me the earlier the better, feet up and watch the other teams in battle it in the lottery to join us!

Birmingham do look good at the moment - that's my one crumb of comfort. I agree with Snowball in that they'd probably have won the league if it weren't for european exploits. Just praying they can get something from the game & continue WHU's awful form at home.

Lets be honest Barnsley are awful. Birmingham is a different game entirely.

with our home form I would expect us to win our last 2 home games, that will give us 85 points, west ham can get a max 90 points, 1 point from 3 away games could be enough, but the GD is very close, a win at Brighton (which i think is the least difficult of the 3) plus two home wins should be enough.

Barnsley were woeful on Friday. Didn't turn up. Incredible display in front of the cameras.
