“And I was pleased for Jay - it was a typical Jay Tabb performance, you know what you’re going to get with him. He might not have played as many games as he’d have liked but he’s such a positive energy to have in the squad. He’s a fantastic person."

I was pleased for Tabb too. I'd also be please if my mate Rob got called up into the first team but he's sh*t and not the correct choice.

Cut the crap RFC. Top six my ass. Invest and stop being naive. Wouldn't mind if expectations were not raised by the mouth of a young Russian whose daddy has a vast amount of money.

BMc:
McDermott had particular praise for full Premier League debutant Jay Tabb, who stepped in for the injured Mikele Leigertwood at the Liberty Stadium,

Another player we should have got rid off. No place for sentiment.

I have to agree with that. Considering everyone knows he has zero chance of playing this season why the hell is he in the 25?! He was brilliant in his day but come on. If he wants to do his badges with us etc then fine keep him on the payroll but he should not be named in the 25.

Not like he's keeping anyone out of the 25 is it.

I actually thought Tabb did OK, worked quite hard and made a few challenges.

I was clenching every time he went for the ball. He was a red card waiting to happen. You can't substitute talent for effort at this level.

For the benefit of those blinkered mongs, this means HE'S A NICE GUY BUT SHITE AT FOOTBALL.

I find it quite surprising that when you have to choose a squad of 25 you fill 2 spaces with an OAP who's just there to help the youngsters, and a nice guy who runs around alot. This isn't the championship anymore. Oh and I thought he was a liability today,

So please tell me about your experience of putting a successful football squad together...no please

(Incidently Jay Tabb is 28...)

Oh and you are a prick.

It's about as good as yours.

Incidently, the OAP I was referring to was Gunarrson and the other was Tabb, Hence 2.

Oh and I don't care.

If I asked you about how good a specific player was and you said he has positive energy and is a fantastic person..what does that tell you about his ability...because it sounds more like he's being talked up to a bird at a night club than his ability as a footballer.

To be fair, a lot of the criticism levelled at Tabb, has in the past been directed at Hunt - runs around a lot, not much quality - but he's scored two great goals in last two games and has generally done really well. So, never write a player off too easily.

We are stuck with what we have until January. I can see why BM brought two forwards on as Swanasea needed to attack. Tabb was not good enough in the championship so why is he any better in the prem? Again lack of investment. Zaha got another two yesterday!

Why are you talking about Zaha - we're having little problem scoring. Our problems are deficiencies in the centre of the park, not up front or on the wing in particular.

We lack a good quality centre that has a bit of extra quality on the ball. Guthrie was ok but he did go missing in games

Oh yeah, so lets replace him with someone even more lightweight.

Tabb was good enough in the Championship. That's like saying Martin Butler wasn't good enough for League 1 because we had Cureton and Forster.

But Zaha isn't remotely a central midfielder...

Tabb played and we got a point...
We averaged 0.4 points per game until yesterday.

Just hope that if we go down we can keep players like him...

If we want to, keeping Tabb after relegation isn't going to be a problem.
