I think it's partially the language barrier, but he does exaggerate a bit as well.

But Nigel does watch most of the academy age groups. He gave the u15s (i think) speech at that tournament they won at Wembley during the summer for example.

Sutekh So is there someone out there who can refresh our memories on how FFP works?

The implication from the above message from Samrit is that we could spend spend spend in January but that must have an impact on the next FFP review unless we manage to sell sell sell also.

I wonder if January will be the usual damp squib or something very interesting instead...

10/1 - Something very interesting instead
1/10 - Usual damp squib

F*ck off Samrit.....unless you can explain who exactly you are, confirm what exactly your involvement isand that you're going to make funding available in January so that we can stave off relegation....otherwise we don't care what you have to say.

Agreed that we're not certain exactly what Samrit is in relation to the club, but atleast he's come out and gave us a bit more of an understanding about the current situation and the feeling within the Thai group, which is more than anyone else at the top has done recently. Quite like the bloke if I'm honest, seems like a good guy that wants the best for the club.

He'll probably get bollocked for it, mind.

Disagree, it was a load of utter crap which equates to:

"Not our fault, blame the Russian. What do you want us to do? Sack the manager? Ah we could do I guess, yeah. But he works real hard :!: "

That’s a negative spin on it I guess..

To me it reads ‘No one’s actually put an explanation on why we haven’t invested much £ into our young and injury ridden team, so just to make you aware we’ve been locked by FFP into spending a max £1.5mill until 1st January because of the previous actions of the Russian owner. This was made more worse by the amount of injuries we’ve had.'

Seems perfectly reasonable to be honest..

Reads to me as - "give us a chance and don't overreact, we've not been here long and we inherited a total mess financially". So nothing anyone with half a brain couldn't have told you already.

He seems alright, but it would be nice to know what the actual oxf*rd his relation to the club is.

Madejski and Co have said nothing. The new Thai owners have said nothing. This guy has actually come out and told us some valuable information we should have heard months ago. Fair play to him, I'm sick of being kept in the dark by the club all the time.

I just looked at his Facebook page, I didnt realise the OP was from there at first. For those who dont know, basically he posted that comment as a reply to others who had commented on those recent pictures in the RFC kit.
After seeing that I also saw this, I'll copy and paste it -

Dan Burton - Hi Samrit Bunditkitsada, without wishing to sound intrusive, what exactly is your role at the club? John Madejski made it clear that you aren't part of the consortium that took over the running of the club. Please tell us what's going on as it seems you're the only one telling the truth.

Samrit Bunditkitsada - One day all of you will know my position in this club, soon.

Interesting. I hope we know sooner rather than later.

Here's the link to his page - https://www.facebook.com/samrit.bunditkitsada?fref=ts

If you dont have Facebook you wont be able to access it though.

He strikes me as a needy attention seeker who may be quite unreliable and just trying to impress people.

When investing in a football club it is vital that you can prove the source of any funds, not least those coming from a territory such as Thailand; this was one of the primary factors in holding up the take-over in the summer. Furthermore, there were the added complications arising from the fact that Samrit already owned another substantial football club.

To get the deal over the line Khun Narin Niruttinanon stepped up his shareholding to 50%, and I believe this was with a view to reducing it back down to 25% at a later date when Samrit was cleared to join the consortium. At this point all investors would own a quarter of the club each, namely Samrit Bunditkitsada, Khun Narin Niruttinanon, Kunying Sasima Srivikorn and Khun Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth.

ZacNaloen Most clubs have a doctor, didn't ours retire recently? guess we didn't replace him
Yeh here we go
http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article ... 40418.aspx

Can't really haev affected our injury crisis tbf

Eeven though we did have our own doctor, I very much doubt that he worked at the club full-time. Money would be far better spent on part-time doctor and more physios/treatment people.

Does a club really need a full-time doctor? I mean is it being suggested that the players and staff should bypass their local GP if they've got say, influenza, and see the club doctor for a jab or anti-biotics for minor infections?

Footballers have common injuries which are usually muscular or ligaments. Surely Samrit means we should have a top class physio, nutritionist and fitness expert rather than a medical doctor. Just a thought.

I'm convinced that in some way he has contributed the funds for 25% and due to problems with FPPT he cannot be named as an owner. So in the meantime his 25% is being covered by the guy named as having 50%. Come January any issues with FPPT will be resolved and he will then be named as a 25% owner. Can't see any other reason why he'd be involved as much as he has. (edit - Apologies, missed moonfishs post above - same reasoning)

Not sure why Jan 1st is so important for FFP.

His last words on that thread are "Can't wait for January!!!!!" for those that can't access it.

Could be fun........but then maybe not.
