Perhaps swap Swift for Samuel?

Rangers haven't had a shot on target since 23rd minute! Am I tempting fate?

McCleary off, Harriott on

Will Samuel ever get game time in the league for Reading?

Looks a bit cautious from Stam with the subs. Blackett gets the rest for the slightly more attacking Obita, McCleary protected and a run out for Harriott. Nothing really positive to really seek the win hard.

We're doing ok. But it's a little frustrating how much more we could achieve with just a little more quality in attack.

We've been caught offside 9 times so far. Does this mean Stam is trying to be more positive and getting our midfield to spot runs and try the through balls?

QPR denied a penalty, though dubious one by the sounds.

Same old story. Just lacking that bit of quality/movement up front. Wonder if it'll ever be sorted.

Set pieces have generally also been pretty poor in the last few games.

FT and I believe that actually moves us up a place.

Decent result.

Respect the point I guess. Dellor keeps calling it a typical mid-table clash, we're 7th right now, when do we start calling it a play-off push?

That's right Ian. If only we had more pace and quality up front. We would have won. I hope Stam will address it in January. We all knew it was still an issue. We were all crying out for a striker up to the end of the window.

What decent player in there right mind is going to be understudy to................ Or do you think they are going to walk into the 1st eleven and the whole squad are going to be happy about it.

That was a strange comment mambo. If we are going to continue in our current formation / system and style of play (total football playing out from the back) then unfortunately Kermorgant ain't the right man to lead the line. He is too slow.

I don't think there is going to be anyone that we can get who could play that role well. We need a Drogba and we're never going to be able to find one. I'd rather we go two up front and play to Kermorgants strengths. Just like Vydra needed a Troy Deeney to play off. Kermorgant needs a pacy striker to run in behind and work off his touches and physical presence.

Cooper is one of the losers in the Stam revolution as he is never gonna be comfortable playing out from defence. Even though he is a very good defender, sadly he no longer fits this new mould. I don't think Kermorgant can survive more than a couple of Windows either. We need someone bigger, faster, stronger and more deadly up front.
