Moore signed a 5 year contract I think it was in 2018. So the season after this one he's out of contract.

We may be able to offload him this summer if he has a good season. Surely another club offering him a 3 year deal on £25k a week might tempt him

No teams in the Championship would offer him that sort of deal in the current climate and I doubt a PL would want to sign him.

Despite the url this page attempts to give a breakdown in wages of last years squad.

Don't think Osho will have been on significantly less than McIntyre.

Given we signed Puscas from Inter I think he'll be one of our top earners.

Lastly, Miazga. Chelsea pay big wages and he was due to be a designated player for NYRB before he signed for them. I suspect that when he was with us he was the highest "earner" at the club. How much of that we will have paid as opposed to Chelsea is another matter - possibly related to how often we selected him when fit? We pay less if he plays, that sort of thing.

Set frustrating as I like the guy and think he’s a decent player if not absolute top quality

Sad that I want to see him leave solely on the basis of the Hole in the finances his wage is causing

Probably little chance but did see Leicester were desperately short at CB. Wondered if they might pick him up for a small fee

That adds up to £11.5m roughly.

So even with academy coaches and NI, that would mean we'd halved our wage budget in one season with the departures of Pele, Miazga, Gunter McCleary, Blackett and Obita etc. Which would mean they were all on about the same as Moore, and still leave enough for £50k a week of other players and staff to have left. And hard to see the FL having too much problem with us right now in that case.

Seems to be massively lowballing it IMO.

Basically over £40k a week saved. That's only £2m a year :!:

We could definitely do with getting rid of Rafael and Moore. Swift is key for us whilst he's not cheap wage wise

Gourlay took it to a whole new level, but the owners signs the cheques.

If he didn’t keep getting injured, Swift would justify the wage. Genuinely think he is about the best CM in the division when fit

Swift is an exceptional player who would certainly be playing at a higher level if not for his injury record. He's got so many facets to his game and he's pretty unparalleled at finding great passes.

If we lost him and couldn't get in a replacement (I'd be looking for a loan player from one of the top clubs) then we'd be extremely reliant on Ejaria and Joao for our attacking threat until Meite gets back. And unfortunately they're quite similar players.

Strongly rumoured Baldock and Aluko alone were on wages combined of £65k a week and upwards. Fringe players mentioned you could probably half their amounts.

I've seen absolutely no even semi reliable sources suggest they were on anywhere near that much. £15,000-22,000 is the sort of figure I've seen quoted for both.

A lot of these figures only quote guaranteed payments though. We have no idea what incentivised payments the players get.

tbf if that pair had incentives in their contracts, they'd have not got a penny above their base

Actually very interested to see what last year's and this years wage bills look like. Prob have to wait a couple of years to find out though

Yeah ,apart from Moore who is on about £10k more;I believe this summary is more accurate.Despite the state of our finances;some of the lower paid players would be better off working at Aldi or Lidl.

Those rumours are incorrect, that would be the same pay scale for both of them close to Liam Moore who is comfortably our highest `earner`.
I think it`s closer to £40k, still a substantial amount for that pair of wasters.

You would assume that our wage bill is now 'ok' - but maybe the EFL rules involve tougher limits once you've broken FFP.

We always seem to be high up the table
for agent fees.

We spent £2.5m last season.

I really wouldn't assume that, but it seems closer.

TBF, even if we break even this season and did the same last season, which is unlikely. We'd still be in breach of FFP from the one before.
