Having watched the clips on him...

- Seems to be able to score of either foot (assuming left footed though)
- Decent touch for L1 (albeit in promotional clips)
- Good leap and scores with his head, despite being short

Basically, Noel Hunt has signed Noel Hunt!

There's no doubt he knows where the goal is. Some cracking finishes doing the rounds on social media.

Well pleased with this signing. Experience at this level and beggars can’t be choosers.

Some comments from Burton fans

Started off brightly with us. Got an injury and never really got back in the team. There’s 100% a player in there and surprised he hasn’t had more involvement in our team since. Hopefully he kicks on with you lot, good bloke.

Doesn’t fit our system anymore nor suit a team fighting against relegation. But a very clever player, good technically, so will probably suit you

When asked, Billy Bodin was described as "Mercurial" by Charlie Baker on TalkSport earlier (as BB used to play for Torquay United who would be Charlie's specialist subject on Mastermind)

It does seem to be quite a shrewd signing in our circumstance.

Obvs no idea how it will pan out but definitely seems someone worth having on board

Agreed. Recruitment is key in football, as we have seen ourselves from the excellent work in the last year or so with some excellent additions made. (One of the best examples indeed being Tyler Bindon) Its a shame the job wasn't left in the hands of the competent football professionals we have had in place previously. Its not a perfect science but hopefully Bidon will prove to be another well sourced and researched addition.
Imagine where we could be now if the odious toad and his mates had realised that before spunking all that cash on expensive tat.

It was really important that we got the right type of player and character in. We have a really good group, and we don’t want anything to spoil that.

"Billy came with glowing recommendations as a character off several players he played with that I knew so it was important to get that right. He has quality, he can score goals, and he is technically really good and works hard

So can read that as they had other options but Bodin, whilst also experienced at this level also seems to be the best character fit for the squad.

Hunt's hardly going to say we were desperate and he was the only option we had is he.

True but barely see the point in going in to calling around to get character references etc if they didn't but I'm sure the list of options was pretty short.

"As soon as we were made aware that Billy was available, we were focussed on bringing him here to the club, and we're just delighted to have got our man." vs "We explored a number of options, and we're delighted that somebody of the quality of Billy was interested in joining the club."

I wasn't being entirely serious and think that the recruitment team have done a pretty special job in the last 18 months or so bringing in the freebies and loans they have. What a difference it makes having people doing their jobs properly without agents bending the ear of the owner.
