After watching "Ross Kemp on Gangs" last night about Moscow, I am very glad he is staying for his own personal safety. We couldn't send him back there!!

I think he has graet potential as well BTW.

As previously pointed out, Bikey has all the makings of a quality defensive player.

He's quick, strong, and athletic. He has a brilliant touch and a very composed head on his shoulders.

At this stage of his career he has been known for slight lapses in concentration, and he is prone to yellow cards, but with the coaching he'll get here at Reading he will be able to iron the mistakes out of his game and we'll be the beneficiaries.

Quality signing, and one that puts the Duberry deal to shame.

will the idiots who wrote him off after pre-season please learn from this.

It's happened with Bikey, Sonko, Convey, Kitson, Doyle, Long and many others. You can't write someone off as rubbish on the basis of a couple of games, you need at least a run of 10 - 12, preferably the course of a whole season.

Exactly. We have too many idiots. And we also have idiots who write off Lita purely on the basis of his attitude.

I couldn't agree more, and I'd even question those who are writing off Bikey now.

He has come to a new country, he's speaking a new language, in a new league, with new staff and players around him.

He has been thrown in at the deep end so to speak, and to be performing as he is in what is the most competitive and able league in the whole of Europe speaks volumes about his potential and current ability.

Bikey will become a first team regular with us at some stage in his career, and I feel it could be sooner rather than later. With both Sonko and Ingimarsson included, we have three excellent central defenders.

The lad has talent and is not as slow as some people think.
Will be interesting to see how he reacts and plays having had the pressure of playing for a contract removed.

1871 Royal Cant see anything on the OS.

Likewise. How come the EP beat the OS to break this news?

Did those who pay extra for the text service from the club get to hear the news before it broke in th EP on HNA?

OK, take that back and answer myself!

It would appear that A1ndy slightly misled us with his original post!

Signing hasn't happened yet - hence no official news from the club!

Great news. I've been very impressed with his performances off late. He deserves the chance. He is a raw talent who will only approve in ability

People seem to forgot how poor Sonko's positioning & concentration were in his first season.

These are things that can be coached to Bikey, as they were with Sonko. What you can't coach are his natural attributes such as strength and physicality, which make him potentially a very good centre half.

But have we brought back Martin Hicks to coach him on his clearances?!

Must be red hot favourite to be the first to put the ball on/over the roof!

Didn't Adie manage that? I seem to remember BBCRB calling it the ' Bag of Chips Award!'

I think this is a fabulous signing by the club and could be the best of the summer!

Bikey is an immense player! He is strong, fast, solid, powerful, skillfull, can play some brilliant passes.

Ok he makes the odd mistake but for me his higlight was when he outmuscled John Carew and managed to keep him at bay all afternoon.

I think Bikey is arguably the best centre back at the club. And if he is not already then he will certainly go on to become the best centre back.

He has stepped in fantastically well to fill Sonko's boots in his absence. It means we currently have 3 Premier class Centre backs. With Doobs looking past it and Bennet as yet unproven.

i dont believe anyone's put the ball out of the ground yet. Sonko cleared the stand a year or 2 ago but it bounced back off the roof support IIRC!!
