To answer the question, i'm not nervous at all. I think the chance we have is pretty remote and we shouldn't have it any way so really have nothing to lose.

I'd be sick with nerves if I was a Birmingham fan.

It is hardly 'pretty remote'... winning the lottery is pretty remote as the permutations are plentiful, in this scenario there are just 9 possible outcomes of the 2 matches and we get promoted if 2 of them happen so i make that a 7 to 2 shot.

Yeah Shef Untd probably have the easier task playing Palace but they have to win and it may not be as simple as that. Even allowing for that we are no worse than a 5 to 1 shot, hardly remote as I remember us winning at Narch 2-0 last week was somthing like a 14/1 chance.

As for 'we shouldn't really have the chance anyway' .....Of course we should. Brum screwed up and we won 2 games so we deserve it. Maybe 'we shouldn't really be in this position' would be closser the mark.. 2 nil up at Blackpool springs to mind.

Rather like Fulham at Portsmouth last year, I simply can't see Sheff Utd not winning. They are playing for a huge prize against a team with nothing to play for that is in poor form. That's before you factor any Warnockisms into it and take into account we haven't won at home since January.

We'll win but Sheff Utd will be home and hosed by HT.

Agreed that Brum look garbage but I am of a differing opinion and think Shef Untd, despite all the Warnockisms etc may still find it hard agains Palace and we may just blow our end of the deal by not finding the net.

I think that we do the man that we love to hate a disservice. Warnock absolutely hates losing no matter who beats him. I reckon he's the type of guy who would obliterate his nearest and dearest if they were standing in the way of him and a win at tiddly winks!!

All the pressure is on B'ham and Sheffield. Anything we get is for us a bonus. Can those two teams avoid choking?

Birmingham's form against the teams who've been in the mix this season isn't great, although it's certainly not bad. If you look at Reading, Wolves, Sheff U, Preston, Burnley, Cardiff and Swansea you're looking at 4 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats (5 if you include the Wolves cup game).

I think we've got what it takes to beat Brum because the pressure is on them and they pretty much have to come out and attack. Teams haven't done that to us at home much in recent months, partially the reason for our poor form. We're not great at breaking down stubborn defences.

Sheffield absolutely have to win. They are going to be shitting it because they've pushed so close, but now they have to hope we win AND they win. We only need to win and hope they draw or lose. So results are actually, in a way, in our favour.

Obviously Brum have the most chance of going up, but have to expect Sheffield to win given the comparative levels of the two teams. That could lead to panic if we can keep it tight and threaten their goal.


I'm not hugely excited or nervous yet, but I will be tomorrow and probably tonight as well.

The price with Totesport for us to get 2nd is 4/1.
Regardless of our own interest and bias I think for a team in our position in the league at home coupled with anybody having to win away at a mid-table side with your left-back now not available 4/1 is real value.
I'm not nervous but would prefer us to succeed tomorrow rather than have to splash out loads more money to see 2 or 3 more games in the cricket season.
The prospect of those two games and a Wembley trip doesn't fill me with great anticipation.
With the price of petrol and a minimum of 160 miles per game this has been a very expensive season.
