Royal Rother Adrian Williams to be new defensive coach...?

Nope, allegedly he likes the bottle a bit too much, amongst other things.

Overall, given the news that Dillon and Downes are out, its sounding like Coppell may of been pushed, more than him jumping.

I may be wrong but you never know......

Makes perfect sense - doubt that the new man would want someone elses back room staff - KD may well want to be his own man soon enough - wouldn't be surprised to see him get a manager's job somewhere in the next few months.

That was my other thought, that Dillion was thinking of going his own way, or even had something lined up already.

As for the next manager wanting his own staff, that all depends on who the next manager is. Quite a few like to keep some of the staff on, like Coppell did with Dillion in the first place, and then add their own men around that.

lol

nicky hammond and the chairman have always had the philosophy of having the managers contract on the same time scale as some of his own backroom staff. so when things go tits up the new guy can have his own staff and implement his own ideas.

They're both gone. Confirmed on the official site. I get the feeling we may be seeing a new manager appointed today!

I have this strange vision of Coppell sitting alongside JM then at the appropriate moment unzipping his skin - and out steps Brendan Rodgers.

This for me paves the way for Curbishley to be appointed with Meryvn Day/Steve Brown (ex Reading) to form the backroom staff. You heard it hear first 8)

Pleased about this as I think the coaching set-up needed a change and was getting pretty stale. It allows a new man to really come in and stamp his authority on the club, making what is an exciting job even more attractive, which can only be a good thing.

Adi is great at beating up his missus, maybe an attacking coach

Mark my words Brendan Rogers will be next in, he has always been thought of as a future Reading boss, he knows the club inside and out, is very good friends with Hammond and is a very good coach, whether its too early for him we will have to see, but I would be well pleased if he came in

Eamonn Dolan will be Brendan Rodgers' assistant. Heard it here first.

Me too actually......not even the most avid SSC fan could deny that the last day or so has been the most exciting for quite a while.
