ZacNaloen For Ian's idea he'd get carded for the use of a prop :P

Ryn's idea I can see working out, needs to be a Sky game to ensure appearance on Soccer AM and laughs all round.

He'd definitely get carded for lifting the shirt wouldn't he? Not allowed to display messages.

I think it's worth a yellow.

Actually I don't know about that one, loads of players display messages, do they get booked?

If it is a booking, it's probably worth it anyway.

The yellow will certainly be in my pants if he does.

I'm sure you can stick your shirt over your head as long as you don't take it off; unless they've changed it now? Displaying messages I can understand though.

I reckon he should commandeer the medical buggie and do a lap of the pitch, with helmet on and stop-watch in hand.

Anyone who got booked for a goal celebration should be fined by the club. How worth it would it be if the booking contributed to a ban for an important match?

Well sure, it would be stupid of him to do it when he's on his 4th booking

This is, of course, an excellent idea.

ZacNaloen Hooray! :?

You share no sense of fun. The team and management got a real kick out of the pictures that were photoshopped on here a few years ago. Some of which were apparently even on the wall in the dressing room at the training ground.

Was this the lookalikies thread? I really hope Bobby got to see my Lee Harvey pic.

The Harper / The Hood one was a classic.

Seems stupid to me whether it's the first or the fifth of the five that get him suspended.

Personally, I think it's a petty rule anyway; FIFA seem to want to stop players expressing any enjoyment of playing the game whatsoever. However, once the rule is in place, it's a bloody silly reason for being booked.

Depends how many you get in total doesn't it...

Doyle got one or two for goal celebrations last season. Barely picked up bookings any other way and made no difference. I don't know a great deal about The Sig, but he doesn't strike me as a player to be earning yellows regularly.

One wouldn't hurt, and even if he did get a one match ban from 5 yellows in a few months, he's not such a shining star we couldn't replace him with one of the other promising youngsters we have for 1 game.

so we should only fine the talented players for such transgressions? Well, it would be one way for the players to know exactly how the manager rates them.

Well with Ivar (and Pearce at the moment) we have a Captain Slow to go with our Stig - any ideas for Jezzer or Hamster?
