Uke Had to look up Mike Corley http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A694523

Mad as 2 dozen boxes of frogs. He was prosecuted sometime in the late 90's for setting up a multi-modem fax server and some kind of relays, blocked up every fax in the HoC for nearly a week with his ramblings. He actually really worried me when he sent me a couple of, apparently perfectly rational and apologetic, emails in the late 90's. He still spams all the uk.local and .rec hierarchies daily.

Bloody teleprinters! Had one at school,

2 hours typing in a program, putting it onto punched tape.

Send it off to Shire Hall

Get it back a week later

ERROR LINE 30

I once helped some guys from DEC set up a VAX mini at the Olympia exhibition hall for some kind of a demo. Three of them spent around four hours typing code into the thing and tada! Printed out a near lifesize naked woman, rendered entirely in 0's and 1's, on 6' of listing paper. Ah, those were the days...
