Who was the young lad who came on second half and played alongside Tetek in midfield? Looked very comfortable on the ball and was always showing for it.

Only seen the highlights and comments around social media but it sounds promising for sure from what I've seen and we looked organised and with a clear structure. Lumley had my heart racing once or twice in some moments but generally looked comfortable which I'm happy enough with and we restricted them to little really considering their superior quality.

Hutchinson is a must signing now as well, I'm glad to see/hear that we are close to signing him, looks like a really good asset for the season.

Yeah, looked handy. Maybe a little small for the rough and tumble of the Championship yet. First I've seen of him and pretty impressed.

Didn’t know his position before yesterday.

You need to load up football manager more often. They're only completely wrong sometimes.

Haven't bought that for decades

Are we expecting the game Tuesday to be called off?

Nope. Pretty certain it will go ahead but with lots of water breaks.

Temperature forecast for kick off is about 32 degrees. Only 4 degrees more than the game yesterday so I don't think it'll be cancelled

I’m not sure it’s worth playing personally. The travel over, pre match prep etc in very high temps etc. not sure much will be gained from playing in that heat either

Not sure it’ll do them a lot of good 2 weeks before the season

Mid Sussex Royal Dann still out, great signing that's been. Really short at centre back.

Actually he's 6'5" which is fairly tall tbf, and he maintains that height whichever position he plays in apparently.

He's only 3'4" lying on the treatment table.

If it is this hot in August then it is all worth it. A lot of the players will never have played in these conditions and it will be good for them to get used to it.

I think providing there are plenty of water breaks and stoppages, then it should be fine. It would only be this hot at this time of year if we were on a training camp in Spain or Portugal like we have done in recent years, I'm sure the medical/sports science team will know how to manage players' outputs in this weather.

Forecast is for 31c at kick-off, is that gonna be much warmer than the 3 o'clock games we've got in july and august?

Training will be this morning I’d have thought. Not too hot

I’m sure they’re capable of playing it, just it will be so low key in that heat not sure it’s worthwhile

It might be hot in August but that’s a league game which has to be played

I’ve no problem what they choose tbh mind you, sure they know best. Just seems a bit unncecessary in a ‘red’ weather warning
