Given the utter cr@pness of the 2 teams below them, on top of the number of games they’ve played, I presume 3 points will be enough to stay up. 8)

Hopefully that first win will now give them some much needed confidence and they can start to pick up a few more points.

Genuinely well done to the Ladies for winning their first game of the season!

It has clearly been a horrendous time for them, and it must be soul destroying turning up game after game knowing you are going to get a tonking, but still fighting on; great spirit!

Continuing my quest to bring you the most obscure results possible...

Reading U13 girls lost 3-2 yesterday to Bucks Football Academy. Reading are last in the 10-team table, with 1 win and 4 defeats. The win was against Chelsea, who are 2 places higher and 2 points better off, but Reading do have 4 games in hand. It really is bizarre how the number of games played varies so much - current range is from 3 to 10.

According to the League website, Reading play home games on the pitch behind the Dome. I did hear that the Community Trust could no longer afford that pitch, so this could be out-of-date. The League website also helpfully supplies a map to show where the pitch is, but that points you to the Empire State Building. Personally, I would think that was slightly more expensive than behind the Dome.

Next league game is in two weeks. This is away to Reading City who have only played 3 games so far, but one of them was an away win against Reading.

Based on how results have been going, it seems whether Reading stay up or not will come down to results against the other teams in the bottom four, there appears to be a severe gulf in class beyond that.
