Armadillo Roadkill What I noticed was that so many passes were intercepted or blocked by Huddersfield. They were so energetic and committed to pressing high up the pitch that we just couldn't get any passing going at all.

I guess that comes at a cost though - press high and leave space at the back. Yet overtime we got possession we carried on trying to play a neat passing game that just got closed down. The worry is it took going two goals down and being a man up before we could find any answer to this.

We were being totally undone tactically, as we were for much of the MK game (although MK were nowhere near as good at it as Huddersfield). This has to be a worry.

As Jurgen Klopp is finding out, if a team presses high up the pitch, the simple answer is to by-pass the midfield. Palace, West Ham, etc have done it successfully to Liverpool in recent weeks. If Brian sticks Sa (or now Kermit) up front, then defenders can go more direct and we play to pick up the second ball and get a lot more space in possession, in their half. It really isn't that hard to play against

A great philosopher once said "if there's 600 Huddersfield fans in an empty stadium can they still be counted?"
