Oh if we are looking at assist stats - congratulations Jobi on your "disastrous" premier league season, finishing as you did our most creative player.

Would be amazed if the appeal succeeded. From my view (they were both pretty much running towards where we sit) Afobe's stitched Pearce up like a Kipper, and not for the first time in the game, or this season it has to be said. Afobe's got goal side of him, and Pearce looked like he was climbing all over the back of him, pulling his shirt and had his arms around him. Gorkks didn't look anywhere near and it was quite clearly a goalscoring opportunity. Was a stupid decision from Pearce to even attempt to get the ball as from the angle I would have put money on McCarthy making a save rather than them scoring.

The Real Sandhurst Royal Reading to appeal against the Pearce's red card.

If this appeal is successful I will buy Nigel Adkins a new car.

What car did you have in mind Floyders?

I am guessing the referee wrote that Pearce tripped Afobe rather than held him.

Slightly disappointed that we probably won't see Hector, but pleased we get to field our strongest side and that Nigel Adkins gets a new car.

Well I have to say that the decision to rescind the red has made you look like a complete tool after what you said at the start of this thread about Adkins making excuses etc.

But to be fair I did not think we had a hope of getting it overturned either.

Adkins can drive to Floyds in his new car and bugger him with a fish fork...

bcubed I’m not saying he hasn’t ever been good for us but as you acknowledge in your last para he’s not been up to scratch this season.
I dont want to remember his old set pieces what about his current ones?

Like the corner we scored from against Millwall? What about the one for the second goal against Blackpool?

He also set up Williams against Blackpool and was involved in the set up to Akpan's goal against Bolton.

I didn't say he hadn't been up to scratch this season, I said he hasn't always been up to his best. Those are not the same things. Wednesday is the first game I've seen in over a month so I can't comment on his more recent form, although I've tended to see him praised recently.

Being switched into cenral midfield and playing most of the game with 10 may have had something to do with him not playing at his best against Wednesday. And maybe the conditions had something to do with some disappointing set pieces.

Walkley_Owl I'm sorry but that is crap, we did a job, yes we were helped by the dismissal but in the 2nd period we controlled the game, you had 0 shots on target!

Bottom line. Don't think we had many OFF target either. Reading were awful second half; no matter what the circumstances were our efforts/tactics to get back into the game were disappointing. 0 shots on target, as he says.

The Real Sandhurst Royal Reading to appeal against the Pearce's red card.

Quoted on the very small off chance that the idiots at the FA surprise everyone. Wouldn't want Floyd deleting his post at that point!

I'm staggered but it looks like Floyd is now going to have to pull the toy car trick! - Madejski would be proud - setting expectations and then cleverly delivering at a much lower level!

Floyd could try offering Nige his own car. He can just hope he turns him down and absolves him of his obligations.

Or Floyd could go all ITK and pretend he won the bet, but won't be insisting Nige buys him a new car.

Or he could make a long post about how his principles have been called into question by libellous accusations and flounce off from HNA?
