Good call BR.
Obvious that he has a future here, if the player wants it.
Knew it all along.

Please just go Harper.

Thanks for everything, but you're just not needed anymore

Disagree.

A model professional and a good player, one of the few(er and fewer) senior pros at the club and a wonderful servant to Reading FC over the years.

There's still a place for him in Rodgers's team.

James Harper is a very good player - perhaps people here will realise this more when he is gone.

He isn't going to get any better and the team is now shaping up differently. We don't need Harper or miss him. Time to get something for him whilst we can.

Says who? It seems to me that his manager wants him and that implies needs him. You may not want or need him but, to be fair, who cares what you want? You do, but Harper?

Oooooooooh get you.

Can you see a position on the pitch that would improve markedly if Harper were in the position?
Not saying he's not a good player/servant of the club even though I don't rate him tbh), but if we can get cash for him we should bloody go for it

It is not just about what he does on the pitch though is it. I suggest that you read the article again. That is the thing about this great game. It is all about opinions.

I think Harps has cult status. Why else would people call him 'The Crab'?

Straight out of an American B movie from the 50's...

im sorry but the energy that harper plays with goes through the team, quality player, attitude and character that the club needds to keep hold of. fair play to Reading letting harps speak to wolves and even better that he turned them down lol

Might be helpful if he ever did anything aside from inject energy into the team

Indeed - usually effort and energy are used to justify the selection of poor players - see Andy Hughes, Stephen Hunt and so forth.

You do upset me when you say such horrid things. Hunty or hughes are not fit to lace harps boots. As loyal a servant and as professional a footballer as you could wish to have in your team. He had a bad season last year but i think hes allowed that.

+1.

Remind me which club Harps started out at again? Oh that's right. Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
