Snowball
Hoop Blah When did he last play central midfield though? Let alone for us! Same can be said of Armstrong of course.

What is the fascination with playing players out of position? Is it just because we don't have enough players or quality in the squad?

He was breaking from defence in the last 10-15 v Swansea and looked another step up in class.

I'd put Kish in there.
And reinstate Armstrong in his best position, LB.
We need an offensive threat from the middle, as we are over reliant on Jobi & Kebe. When they are shut down/injured/lose form we resort to Feds lumping it long, and it ain't working. A bit of a classy passer, comfortable on the ball, could put the forwards "in".

I LIKE Karacan and Tabb. They break up play, run around a lot,
but it's REACTIVE (more so Karacan) not PROactive. IMO we need
someone who want to take charge.

Against Swansea, seemed to me that Kish stepped up to the plate
and he looked far more valuable.

Seriously, I think if he played defensive midfield we'd be better at stopping other sides
and we'd be stronger against corners and crosses with the extra big-lad.

Not sure how to phrase this, but Kebe has class but is mercurial. Class like Zurab's
is different. He sort of oozes it, confidence, determination. When he was going
forward v Swansea it was like he wanted to get the kids to start playing.

I KNOW he hasn't had a brilliant re-start with us. Maybe he's rusty. But I'd rather see him more in the game. DMF would do that

Stepping out of the back four, with the whole game in front of you, and being able to pick and choose when to do that is very different to the cut and thrust of being the middle and everything that comes with it.

KIshanishvili is a classy defender, and he has the ability to do more than just defend, but we don't really play with a genuine holding midfielder to patrol the area in front of the two midfielders (Rodgers had Karacan do that for a few games last season but it didn't really work). If he hasn't played regularily in the middle for a while (and it has to be at least a season or two) it's a big gamble and involves changing the system too much for my liking.

Finally, the club say a hell of a lot of rubbish on their website so a quote from there support his ability to play in midfield is pretty poor evidence I'm afraid.

West_Reading I don't think there's much of a dilemma. We're just missing Tabb IMO, once he's back we'll be a much better side. We've had a decent start to the season. We look hard to beat and i'm sure we'll pick up points in the next two games as we seem to play better away from home.

Glad to be proven right, by all accounts, regarding Tabb. Definetely a vital cog in our side.

They said on the fancast last month that Zurab plays in midfield for Georgia.
