andrew1957The Real Sandhurst Royal Howard had a shocker against Norwich and I lost count of the number of passes he mis placed. He was no better against QPR, so he is pretty consistant with his performances.
Tiem for change with Tabb getting my vote to play in midfield, more energy and he goes box to box.
I cannot comment about QPR as I was not there but I saw the other two. Howard was for me MOTM against Cardiff but was awful against Norwich. He does always give 100% however and in my view I would only ever boo a player for not trying. And everyone in our team always gives 100% - although with very mixed results it has to be said.

Err... yes, he obviously does.
I would question whether the team always have the right tactics and/or have got to the point where they inherently know how to play an organised game together as a team like I felt Norwich did.

Ian Royal Just for those who think Howard should be dropped. He has played a significant role in 8 of our league goals this season and we've been scoring almost for fun since he came back into the side.
We've conceeded a lot of goals as well and he's certainly contributed, but I think you could place more of the weight of that on a back 5 who often look ropey.

I think it's unfair on Long because he has been working really hard, just the formation is wrong for him.
Howard is Howard, not got a shot, not very good at corners, always late for tackles (at least he's starting tackling this season, oh no, penalty at QPR he was lucky not to be off).

I don't go to all the matches, but I was at this one and it wasn't a pretty sight, but then it was when Rodgers was manager so there were a few games like that. It's unfair to pick on one player who obviously does work hard for the team though - particularly bringing up a match from over a year ago. All players have off-days when things don't go right and I've seen enough of McAnuff's runs, kicks and passing to know he isn't some sort of slacker.Man Friday Not being funny but do you go to all the matches? I'm thinking in particular Vs WBA away in the League last season when we lost 3-1.

Fair enough. One criticism that definitely is fair, however, is that he's more inconsistent than most. People feel that with his talents, if he were more consistent, he'd have spent more years playing in the Premier League than he has done.

Couldn't agree more with you!!
I think fans have a right to cheer players (or the team) when they do well and likewise express their dissatisfaction when they do not. If I have a bad day at the office, then I get a b*llocking from my customers or my boss. How is it any different if fans choose to boo a player or cheer when he is substituted?
Some people on here need to man up a little
