Scarface I don't think it really matters, we're not good enough to beat Swansea or Cardiff. It's taken an amazing run to propell us into the play-offs, but Cardiff and Swansea have been consistently in the top 4 most of the season, so for this reason I'm not holding out much hope of reaching Wembley, let alone the promised land.

What about Blackpool..? Pretty sure they entered the playoffs on the last couple of games of the season, if you take away the first half of their season.

I didn't see the Swansea home game, but went to the away game and was quite impressed by them and definitely had them on my "avoid" list. But now we're odds on to play them so we have to get on with it.

Cardiff in the final I would have thought, and I wouldn't mind that if we got to Wembley. Saw both games against Cardiff, and if you remember we succumbed to late equalisers in both games - with a bit more discipline we'd have won both. Especially in the away game, I thought we were much the better side and should have won it more comfortably than we would have done had Bellamy not scored the freekick (if you follow my logic).

I would not fancy Norwich in the final particularly, they were the much better side in the home game, and had they not had the man sent off probably would have beaten us comfortably. I didn't see the away game.

I'd fancy us against any of the sides battling to get the 6th spot though, I think we've beaten most of them at least once over the season.

so with todays cardiff result you have to ask who swansea would rather play, us or forest?..if they win at home on sat and cardiff fail to win, it will be us vs cardiff ,forest vs swansea, of course if QPR get the points deduction then they could get auto. but failing that you can see them throwing their game on sat to get the "easier" game aginst us!

If we play Cardiff, surely we simply need to employ the same tactics as M'brough did today.

How good would it be to be a Norwich fan at Pompey today??

Their version of our Leicester away if they do it.
Magic.

That was the outcome but what were the tactics (means) to achieve that?

Probably the same as Sheffield Utd's to beat us last home match. Mental.

I probably shouldn't be contributing to this thread as I can't answer either of the two questions.

However, for those of you who enjoy seeing a decent spectrum of responses, for me my preference would be that our season was already over so I could forget about football for a while and focus on my core loves of sex, diesel traction and beer.

Not really. Surely it's about learning? (Or is that too "foreign" a concept?)

Especially when it's 3-0. That can't be down to "mental" results or luck, can it?

Couldn't care less who we play tbh.

If pushed then I'd pick Forest as i'd mind losing to them less than I would to either of the Welsh sides.
