Agree that Antonio looked very accomplished yesterday, but hard to judge I suppose based on the quality of the opposition. Can't add much to what has already been said here, first half was a bit slow but lit up by Alfie's impressive second finish. Penalty looked like a blatant dive from Hunt, Guthrie looked to spray the ball around. Was impressed by the Gorkss-Morrison partnership, although Wimbledon rarely threatened. Thought Keown did mostly very well while Robson-Kanu provided more of a threat than McCleary.

Second-half side were impressive, but as has already been said Wimbledon were significantly weakened and their right-back and 'keeper looked like they had never played football before. Thought Antonio and Obita looked very good down each flank, McAnuff impressed in the middle whilst Hector was solid and was a real threat coming up from corners.

Good day out though, the only blunder being going by car and getting caught in atrocious traffic just outside Hampton Court. Nightmare stuff, lucky to make kick-off in the end.

Impressed with the movement and flexibility. Value for money I felt.

But enough about the topless (and bottomless) pole dancers in the Robert Peel, from what little I can recall about the game Reading were several notches above the (very limited) opposition so it is a little pointless taking any indications of the relative strength of our squad from this cake-walk of a fitness exercise.

His header when he was still in his penalty area was a particular highlight.

Glad we ignored our sat nav trying to tell us to divert through Hampton Court when we hit heavy traffic on the M25. Was sorely tempted to divert that way but have been caught up in nightmare jams in and around Hampton Court/Kingston before, so resisted the temptation and stuck out with the M25 crawl.

Yeah, definitely the smartest move. Thought going that way would be much quicker but there was some sort of event going on round there on the day and the sat nav sent us headlong into the traffic.

No, but can't help feeling sorry for him. Poor bloke really was waiting for the bus outside (and yes he had just failed to catch that too!) after the game - such a long way from the dream life of a professional footballer.

Seems he is a young Aussie who has come over here in the hope of 'doing a Feds' and is currently kipping at a cousin's flat.

Must have been pretty tough as he was sat with the team on the pitch at the end hearing Royals' singing 'Time to sack your keeper' and 'Sacked Monday morning' I wonder whether Ben McNamara will resurface at some time in the future in the English professional leagues.

Meantime, The Wombles are trying hard to get Hector on a season long loan.
