Big Foot
dizzynewheights Dislike them all in pretty much equal amounts due to them all being identikit, self obsessed shithouses.

Apart from Drenthe and Guthrie I wouldn't say any of them are "shithouses". Shit on the pitch maybe but they seem level headed outside of trying to defend on a Saturday afternoon.

LOL at a Chelsea fan agreeing that players at other clubs for self obsessed shithouses.

In what way is Big Foot a Chelsea fan?
I would say that the way the club has lost Big Foot as a regular attending fan is a reason for concern - mainly because its representative of many 'ex-fan''s experiences. Not liking the players is a symptom amongst many people; and even if you say McDermott and Adkins have been dealt the same ownership hands (which they probably have), Adkins has been unable to retain any semblance of the 'soul' of the club.

I don't even think the OP is trolling. The only reason I don't have anything to say on the matter is that, like Maguire, I think they're all as culpable as each other.

Except Pogrebnyak of course.

Take a look at his posts on the Chelsea and Lampard threads over on GF.

Actual LOL at the thought of me being a "Chelsea fan" - Not that I need to justify myself to you of course, but Lampard is my favourite player of my lifetime, hence the posts on the thread you mention

Those who know, know that I'm as Reading as they come - but am just in a sustained period of disillusionment with all things Reading FC & to be honest, it's going further and further past the point of return, regardless of whether that laughing stock is manager of the club

Big Foot's not a great example of fans being driven away given he was rabidly anti-Adkins from moment one and, i think, is also of the age where priorities often change anyway.

Don't think i've truly liked a Reading player since Cureton... well maybe Kitson, oh and Marcus, Murts, Sidwell... wait... since the 106 team then.

I've fallen out of love with the club but i'm still a fan as it's my home town. Can't see me ever getting a season ticket again though.

Find all this 'I've fallen out of love with the club' so tiresome. If it was in response to unrelenting success (i.e. it gets boring seeing us win everything so easily), it would at least be interesting - but this sudden 'falling out of love' when things are going downhill after years and years of success is really a bit boring and limp.

Quite.

Just be man enough to admit that you don't enjoy watching a struggling team playing pretty turgid football, rather than coming out with all this poetry about football losing it's soul etc etc.

Money has been 'eroding' football for 20 years. That didn't stop us enjoying 05/06, nor did it curb the fanaticism during the fantastic run to the title a couple of years ago.

Have to agree with this. A few exceptions aside we're just losing most the 106 bandwagon jumpers is all

No long ting

Couldn't agree more about losing the 106 bandwagon. I like many others have seen years or rubbish football both at Elm Park and Mad Stad, but can't help but feel that this is the worst football we've played since Elm Park and that this alongside the ownership uncertainty are the main reasons for the lower attendance!

Think a lot of people overuse the word 'Fan'. When you look at it's original meaning, it's derived from Fanatical from the Latin. Not a dig bud, but a true fan would attend regardless.

I would argue the Burns team that contained Ray Houghton was our Nadir of the last 20 years.

We have seen worse. We will see better.

So is a supporter different to a fan? On that reckoning all these Irish and Australian Royals are not fans either. Also, Number 13, Reading fans everywhere, must mean just the 14-16k or less in the bowl each match.
