NewCorkSeth Beautiful. Bacuna was fantastic. Good finish by Swift. Was it Barrow with the release or Aluko (sorry a bit racist)

Bacuna - great direct run form inside hos own half.

No. The player who released Bacuna..

Oh sorry, misunderstood.

Great driving run by Swift. Smith (possibly proving some of us correct) was offside.

Thought that was a clear foul on Barrow. JVDB playing well.

I appreciate Sam Smith's work ethic but this performance for me is justifying why Stam went strikerless for so long

HT.

I’d say that was the best half so far this season. Pressing, ball-winning, has been superb. Bacuna has been different class.

Gunter LB and Bacuna RB is clearly the way forward. Hopefully Stam will recognize this and we'll be spared of more Blackett LB performances.

Encouraged by what I'm seeing, especially towards the end of the half. Why do I have a bitter taste in my mouth though? Like, you pcunts clearly CAN play well, so why the fcuk don't you do it more often.

Thoughts from the first half.

First TEAM performance in a while.

Swift is again the player we have most missed.

Bacuna has been phenomenal. Not only winning the ball all over the pitch but has had great distribution.

JVDB has had awful forward passing but has been absolutely necessary in defending from the halfway line.

Smith is showing his inexperience. Offside and an awful header from a great cross.

Aluko has been a mixed bag.

Moore has been solid as per.

Ref seems a bit off. Lots of pointless stopping of play.

Forest players a re LOVING going to ground...

Not bad. Barrow makes such a difference.

Decent play, a bit more assertive. Smith is bringing enthusiasm and getting stuck in. Making defenders think. But I think he's choosing the wrong runs or not quite timing them right a lot that'll come with experience though.

Swift very tidy and always brings invention.

Our biggest problem though is that Aluko, Barrow and particularly Swift and Edwards are too static when the defence have it. They're not breaking the lines and offering for us to playthrough the thirds. They're staying marked high up when one of them should be dropping into a gap. Either they do so and find space or the drag their marker out and make more room for a ball/ run in behind. For me that's out biggest weakness, we concentrate on the CBs playing their way forward without giving them the option so it just goes side to side until the space has been squeezed and we lose it or hoof it.

Hilarious Gunter shots. Mix of his usual backing off and softness with some good play. And no left foot. But then he's not a LB.

Berg having one of his better games. Barrow mostly working to defend.

Decent. Need to come out strong and look for tgat second though. There's always a calamity in us so we need aome breathing space and can't hand over initiative.

Disagree he keeps making runs pulling his marker around but no ones reaching him.

He's pulling his marker the wrong way....
When swift was charging up the left wing Smith ran right. How does that constitute a good run?
