Hound Yes finding it very hard to care about this one. Hoepfully have a couple of new players in

+1

Seems odd that after 18 months of fan free football I have no interest in this game at all.

I guess it doesn't help it is against an opponent who a) have routinely beaten us over the last few years and b) we'll be playing them twice already this season.

I'd probably go if a) I still lived local and b) was against lower league opponents - just because it is a bit more interesting.

Buses to the game

We will not be operating the normal urban services to the match, but we will be running the F1 shuttle from Reading town centre and the F2 and F3 park & ride services from Shinfield Park and Mereoak. You can connect to the F1 in the town centre from any of the buses in our network.

Our full range of football buses, including the new routes from South of Reading, will begin from Saturday 14 August.

Have zero desire to go to any of our games, haven't missed it one iota. Still support the team and care but I'll be doing it from afar. Only game I've committed to go to is Hull City away as its traditional.

I fully expect Swansea reserves to beat our U23 team quite comfortably and so I have decided not to go tonight.

Hope I am wrong and that we can progress but in truth I think it will be over by half time. We shall see.

We’re fielding 50% first teamers and the rest are the best of our youngsters. I’d say it’s a pretty decent interesting side and Tetek, Camaraderie and Azeez are well worth taking a look at.
I won’t be there.

Team news. Leavy, Osorio and Ehibhatiomhan all start none of whom have played a game for RFC before. We also have 6 players on the bench who have never played for the first team before.

This means that either a/ the player of professional standing issue has been resolved with the EFL or b/ RFC have decided not to sign anyone at all this season as this will bring us up to 27+ players of a professional standing (players who have played at least once for the first team).

Not even close to 50% first choice players - McIntyre arguably the only first 11 player in the squad tonight.

As more than a third of the team are already first-teamers, and season has barely started, I can pretty much guarantee at least 50% of them will be first teamers this season. No Azeez though, Puscas leading the line. No McNulty either

Not beaten Swansea in 13 years, it`s not happening tonight with a load of kids. probably best to get out of the cup early given our predicament.

We do seem to only have three defenders in the 11 so perhaps they are right.

Swansea got a reasonable side out including Grimes. Expecting the worst.

What position does Camaraderie Play? Does he help keep the team together?

Didn't Camaraderie play for Everton a few years ago? I know we are desperate for signings and all that but I fear his best days are behind him.
