I'm not sure age is the main thing, providing he stays in good shape and injury free, if he does then he will be an asset. It's tough to say how many goals he will get, because we don't know how much he will feature, in what formation, in what situation etc.
Based on him being our second choice forward, if he gets half a dozen goals and a couple of assists, it's not a bad return overall.

I always felt it was the fact that he drew defenders out of position and allowed other players more space and time that was his strongest asset but maybe, if he isn't as quick as he was, then that wouldn't be such an asset any more for him. We will see.

Whatever version we get it’s positive, someone who wants to play for Reading (rare Vs last years crop on the whole)
Sure he isn’t the Shane Long of old but a valuable addition to the squad
