Dr Hfuhruhurr
Denver Royal
Zammo I will be laying the Royals every week. Virtually the same side for the last three seasons. They have not got it in them to fight in this division. LOL at Harper running the midfield at a cold wet Barnsley in December.

LOL indeed. Thats just the type of game that Harper disappears in.

All these sentences are utterly baffling.
Our last season in the Championship, which we won by the way, involved many winter Northern trips. With Harper.
Harper disappears when he's up against someone better than him. Which Barnsley arent.

We'll do quite well if the squad settles down - i.e. we sell Shorey. Doubt if we'll win it mind, as Ipswich seem to tick a large number of the necessary boxes this year.

Agreed. And the likes of Charlton will be up there this season imo. It is a competitive division and I'm really looking forward to it.

Same - and it'll be Harper and Gunnarsson as Coppell prefers his pace and stamina to Marek's ability to pass a ball to another blue and white shirt.

This thread should be printed and framed

Charlton, QPR, Derby, Ipswich huh? No mention of Wolves, and
too many said we had no chance.

Alan Partridge If Coppell gets a team without a left back and with Jimmy Kebe on the right hand side in the top 6 then the guy really is a genius.

I want you to write Coppell is a genius 10 times please.......

What happened Alan? You used to be a positive poster who was actually interesting to read

Now you're becoming a stuck record

You don't have to take on your username's personality you know!

Boredom! I'll be at Forest and fine once the season starts. Personally I don't feel like being positive or negative just for the sake of it, just comment on what i see and at this moment in time I'm personally not seeing a lot of good in what RFC are doing. I think it was 'RichiRoyal' who posted up his views on another thread which i found hard to disagree with. Coppell is the one I'm disappointed in, having listened to him speak really well at the forum, admit to errors and say what needed to be done. Seriously even in my cynical self of last season the 'positivity' was back. Looked forward to the Derby match, it wasn't to be but I was quite looking forward to this summer. Like everyone else we all knew change was inevitable it was a case of how much. Would Doyle go? Lita? sonko? Shorey? Harper? Bit out of the blue it being Little and Kitson and soon to be Shorey. I am stunned that he STILL after a year and a bit hasn't replaced Glen Little, and N Hunt certainly isn't a 'like for like' replacement for DK. Knowing of Coppell's admiration for Kits and how he has told us about his size and presence 'being totally different to the other 3' I find it strange that he hasn't got a 'big man' in the squad.

In all honesty at the moment I find it hard how anyone can support Coppell's decisions over transfer and the squad as it stands. Especially when Shorey goes if no one is brought in. You can't play a season without a natural left sided defender. This isn't park football, where you can just convert someone and ask someone to fill in, they will be up against professional right wingers who will tear our makeshift full back whoever it is apart.

Come sunday I'll be at Forest and will give them my support as ever, as to finishing in the top 6? At this stage I wouldn't give them much hope being brutally honest.

Ok... so i said deffo top six and thought we would win it by 6/7 points from Ipswich.

Ending up 2/3/4th aint to bad.... but Ipswich.... what was I thinking!!!!

I guess I was closer than those who thought we would be out of the top six or didnt have the balls to predict anything, but just slag us off.

TBF this is a very difficult league to call and if we stay down then I bet we'd still have trouble calling it next season.

We have signed Armstrong since all the "we've got no left-back" ranting too.

Still, lolz at the Charlton prediction!

Can we lay to rest this myth that making a prediction or "nailing your colours to the mast" takes balls? Incidentally, I was having laugh about the Charlton prediction until I saw another summer thread about who would go up and found that I predicted Reading, Palace and Charlton.

The Rouge Vindicated Rouge.

Absolutely vindicated... but it was hardly a stroke of genious was it mate.

You could discard 6 teams straight away who were very unlikely indeed to finsh top 6.
That leaves you 18 teams, so 2 to 1 to finish top six if we were just an average one of those 18 remaining teams.
You would rightly be able to say that we would consider ourself to be in the top 12 of those remaining 18 teams as we had a squad that had been in the prem the previous 2 seasons and had the money that came with finishing 8th and 18th in the prem.

so even if we were average in the remaining 12 teams we would be no worse than a 50/50 even money shot.

So all in all not too bold a prediction. If you had predicted we would be bottom 6 and we actually ended up there I would be more impressed.

Anyway, how are you mate, not seen you on HNA for a while.
