rabidbee
Ian Royal One wouldn't hurt, and even if he did get a one match ban from 5 yellows in a few months, he's not such a shining star we couldn't replace him with one of the other promising youngsters we have for 1 game.

so we should only fine the talented players for such transgressions? Well, it would be one way for the players to know exactly how the manager rates them.

I didn't say that. You're the only one talking about fining.

rabidbee Personally, I think it's a petty rule anyway; FIFA seem to want to stop players expressing any enjoyment of playing the game whatsoever. However, once the rule is in place, it's a bloody silly reason for being booked.

Tis silly indeed, fwiw, I'm pretty certain that Eboue was booked for a message (which the cameras didn't pick up) a few games ago.

Just a bit sad that "The Hamster" is our DoF and unknown to anyone outside of RFC

What an astonishingly ill-informed statement. Or is it just a wind-up?
