Have to agree with AP, part of the baggage of earning thousands a week playing sport is that you have to be able to accept a bit of stick if you don;t justify those stupid salaries. Sorry giys, if you want to be a millionaire in your twenties despite being a failry middle of the road player than develop a thick skin.
On the other hand as fans we have a choice. We can get on their backs and make it hard or we can see what a bit of TLC does.
It's rubbish to claim we have backed them in any way at home this season. As fans we've pretty much sat on our hands and suffered in silence. And we have certainly suffered ! I'm usually positive in the extreme, and still feel it is very early to be given Rodgers the sort of stick that has been handed out but at the same time I want to see wins, and decent performances and we aren;t getting them.
But I return to Pants Day. That wasn't just a chance to rubbish the players, manager or board. It was as much about rousing the fans out of their pretty apathetic torpor and get a spark back. Did it work ? No idea really but it struck a chord and other things followed and it got a bit of something back into the club that Mad Dog and Matt Robinson added to.
I'm very much in the 'lets give supporting the team' a go, largely becasue the other options of doing nothing or turning the atmosphere poisonous seem to be fairly pointless. I suspect I'm in the minority, and I'm not looking forward to tonight at all becasue of what I suspect will happen.
