I've been saying for a while that Mike Ashley would be a good fit for us right now.

Newcastle fans hated him because he tried to run the club as a viable business. He never made any money out of them until he sold - and actually invested a fair amount (just not silly PL money).

He easily has the resources to deal with our current situation, plus additional to invest once embargoes are over. He could help improve our lack of commercial income (something that has been holding us back for years). Basically, he's knows what he's doing and hire people that also know what they're doing.

To be clear, he's obviously only in it for a long-term windfall he would from getting us closer to the PL and selling up. But, fair play to him if he achieves that. Others might prefer us to get some who loves the club and will pour money in out of love of the club - but right now i'm taking competency over passion.
