Are the two MASSIVE names both former Reading players? Does anyone have a list of former Reading players?

FWIW I'd rather it's kept quiet. If word get's out then it might entice other clubs to bid.

Friday's Legacy
BigMike isn't on a wind up. We have made an offer for a former Reading player. It's a complicated one, but it would be a massive sign of intent if we get him.

Fair enough FL but by default that must mean Long or Siggy. I am not sure even Berty would cause that much of a melt down and the likelihood of getting him until Chelsea sort themselves out is slim I would have thought.

Even Long would arguably be a luxury now that we have Roberts as they fulfil a similar role.

That really only leaves Siggy as to my mind we are desperate for an attacking CM.

I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest it could be Gylfi and Defoe. There, I've said it. So shoot me.

My guess is...

Bertrand or Gylfi or Long
Joe Cole or Defoe
Mariappa

Not looking for a confirmation or a denial...I just like guessing and seeing if I am right after the fact.

So is the ex-royal a big name signing? The original one that would 'send the board into meltdown'?

I have never really understood that, Any manager worth a look would have full knowledge of who is available and on market, All the players we are being linked with seem to be up for grabs or not settled.

Nope. He didn't reply to my begging PM! LOLz.

Someone else pm'd me one name. I've made an educated guess on the other. So I'm almost certainly wrong. LOL.

I'm really struggling to see us with a 'big name' signing. It's just not the Reading way, right? Signing a player who more than likely has an ego and high wages?

Please prove me wrong!!!

Yeah - like we'd sign Jason Roberts or someone!

Or Les Ferdinand
Or Martin Keown....

Which is why Gylfi has to be the one. Quality, big name but knows the Reading way and has the right attitude.

You never know, a club may deem the "massive" player we could be signing to be out of their league. If they saw that we had submitted a bid they might think "maybe we're in with a chance here" and bid for him too.

Maybe the 'massive' player is just physically large.

gylfi must be one of them as those 'in the know' would have put that rumor to bed a long time ago!
as for the big name signing, caught offside wrote an article about us signing owen yesterday saying that we will be paying a huge signing on fee to balance out the wage demands.
