Ian Royal From what I remember of Gilkes he was about tipping it round someone and beating them with pace. Admittedly I never saw him at his best, but that isn't anything like what I've seen of Kebe.
Gilkes rarely fell over the ball or walked it straight into a defender. Equally Gikes rarely skinned 2-3 players using skill and trickery.
IMO Kebe comes close to the control of Little and the pace and crossing of Gilkes. But he is horribly inconsistent and far from the finished article. He also strikes me as a bit lightweight and gangly. Potentially if he gets his consistency, improves his crossing and becomes a bit more grounded he could be a upper prem class player.
I feel he'll be up and down and never quite make it myself. But still early days.

2.8 lita injection I cant wait for him to score, it might give him even more confidence.

ayjaydee If the twats in Y22 Rows R & S around seats 125 ish read this.
For God's sake give it a rest. You sound like a broken record.
"Bring on a real winger" " We are doing all right with 10 men".
One twat in particular just sat and refused to acknowledge Kebe's part in the goals.
Kebe is always at fault even when he fails to control a shoite pass.
I know we all have opinions but these are bordering on the insane/screw loose type of comments.
If you hear a shout of "SHUT THE FECK UP" it will be from me.

West Stand Man This all brings back memories of Dean Horrix for me. He arrived in a blaze of glory all set to create a storm, but failed to deliver for quite some time. Then he started to deliver some quality but since he couldn't finish (in that spell) he became a target for the regular boo boys. Anything Horrix did was wrong, even if it meant he'd opened the space for someone else to score. He missed sitters and so the booing built up. Then he missed a penalty (I recall) and the pressure seemed to mount more until a few minutes later he got a goal - and the legend began. From that point on he moved from hate figure to near legend status, and rightly so.
Who knows what might happen if Kebe can break this duck and, maybe, build on it.

Franchise FC He may not always be good, but he is always exciting - because, much like Jimmy himself, we have no idea what he's going to do next.
