floyd__streete Any danger of any kind of statement from our owner? Some sort of idea of what kind of candidate we're looking for and why the timing of the sacking was correct, contrary to any sane view already expressed?

I bet even the Gestapo had better PR than this. Still, the players have all turned up for training according to the latest headline, so thats good then......

Yeah I saw that - but seeing as a few are off with international duties, it's hardly a big story and they can't do any "tactics" for the Arsenal game, cos half the team aren't there.

But yes, it's nice to know what high regard our owners hold us, the lowly fans in, that they can't even make any sort of statement.

I'm usually pretty quick to have a pop at the club for a lack of information but I think in this instance the quiet on who they're looking for is understandable.

They might be looking for a specific type of manager or they might be hearing from different styles to see which fits best for the way they see the club moving forward.

Any concrete information they give out now on either the process or the type of applicant will just be used against them if it drags on longer or they end up going for someone who doesn't quite fit the profile they say they might be looking for now.

I would like to have seen a bit more comment from the club about McDermott leaving though. He probably deserved a bit more appreciation for the good work he'd done previously, although they were never going to go into details about how or why they did it out of respect for him so difficult to give some info without being pressed for more than they wanted to give.

This . One of the reasons Wolves were such a laughing stock was that barely a day went by during their managerial search when either Morgan or Moxey wasn't cosying up to the cameras "reassuring" the fans that McCarthy's replacement was imminent.

Day 14 in the Big Ballsup house and still the owner has failed to come to the diary room. Surely even a pithy article thanking Brian and some idea of the processes and timescales involved in us eventually appointing Eamonn Dolan?

+1

As much as I am pleased that Anton isn't on SSN every day telling us all that the man will be in charge soon, it is about time we heard something from the club.

How long does it bloody take to find a manager and draw a contract up. This is getting really frustrating now. They must of had someone in mind at least when they fired BM, shirley. Or is this some kind of 'sack the manager'and hope it all falls into place.

This.

They may not have had someone lined up, but surely they must have had targets in mind - or we could be without a suitable manager at the start of next season....

I reckon Di Canio was lined up, but players and fans were so against it they had to back track.

i still would give chance until the summer with a sweetener pay out if he performs a miracle and keeps us in the prem, then discuss terms in the summer if he does well.

Adkins/dolan are just play it safe type managers and no better than mcDermott.

I agree-make a quality signing (as Manager) and give him all the parachute monies-maybe someone who has an intro into the promising players on the Continent-or can bring a lot of ambitious players with him.Don't go same old/same old-Adkins ,Dolan etc.

There probably were targets in place but come on, not a real exciting prospect is it! Anyone who thought Gus Poyet would come here over BHAFC needs their head read.
We need a proven manager but who will come here staring almost certain relegation to blot their CV........

He was moaning about the cricket last night.

It's not been a good 24 hours for him!
