I'm not 100% with you, but the last few months has brought me round a lot.

I may have been very wrong about them being different. Which just makes the loafer persona even more obscene if you're right.
cannot put ‘my hand on my heart’ but….far too many similarities, including the comments between themselves/themself.

If the fans had gone through with their protest, then the sight of socks on the pitch would have made the players feel too intimidated to lose.

By all accounts one of our “best performers” from the 3rd tier of Swiss football. I know it’s only a fitness exercise but give me strength.

Lol well you can fart out your skittles until we lose at home to Peterborough and away to Port Vale without having more than 1 shit on target. Then I'll say I told you so.

Put your shitty spoon down and stop stirring the pot for a change will you.

Maybe I'm being a realist in that the season starts in 3 weeks and we don't look like scoring against teams that are almost non league? Maybe look at the facts and you'll understand.

This glaring fact appears to be forgotten by the apologists on here. We are scoring f+ck all and creating f+ck all against really shit rusty sides, and its not just a one off like Farnborough all those years ago, this looks like a pattern.
But don't worry, when Selles is gone in January another newbie mug will come in and lump ball to Carroll will no doubt be the main tactic once again.
I'll say it as I see it, unless we make some amazing signings, and as it stands, and I don't see us linked to anyone, we are gonna be a League 2 club next season. More worryingly Dai is looking for new investment....why is that? He is a billionaire isn't he? Or is he just gonna start lumbering us with more debt ala shades of West Brom.

Would be good to see what the final score was. Cannot see it but I can gather we lost.

Well that was a dreadful performance, not helped by the blustery conditions.
I know it was a friendly with 'God knows who' in the hoops, but there was absolutely nothing to suggest that we will be pushing up the league this season, in fact its more likely we will be playing at grounds like Gander Lane 24/25.
You can usually see a newbie/trialist catching the eye. Nothing to see at all yesterday.

Its stating the obvious, but Selles has a lot of work to be done before the season starts.

All the negative comments on here could come to fruition but it’s way too early to be basing next season on 2 friendlies where we have very few first team players, several trialists and a manager who’s been in the job for a day or two.

Let’s judge the team after 10 or 12 games next season for oxf*rd sake. We are way behind in our preparations, we need to sign lots of players and Selles needs to be given time to mould a TEAM. Also, we need to pay the bills.

The reality is we're not ready for the season and the match reflected that. We all knew that before kick off so we learned little.

If they played like a bunch of strangers, it's because they were a bunch of strangers. The next week needs to be a big one for recruitment and squad building, otherwise we'll definitely have a slow start.

Yeah this week is pretty big. If Amos and co are around the squad now and have been then they should integrate quickly

Not reading a lot into the games so far - still missing 2/3 players through injury who may be ready for Peterborough and we’ll make plenty of signings before

+1

I was thinking that Spain was a waste of time. I didn't see any pattern to the play, no high press, no interplay. Just a battle and hoofing. Predictably we lost the midfield battle, and rarely tested their defence.

Having said that 2-0 to us at half time wouldn't have been unfair, it seemed we missed an open goal and McIntyre put a free header wide. I wasn't clear on their goals, but one seemed to be a lucky deflection and the second a well taken shot right in the top corner.

The leaking of goals, and the lack of an attacking threat are the same familiar issues we had at start as last season. I think we'll struggle.
