Yes we may have lost some players but these players are squad players obviously not in the immediatee plans of God, had they been then they would not have been loaned out. I would imagine that the loan deals have some 24 hour recall clauses in and should they be needed at short notice then they will come back, not only will they come back but they will come back with first team (at whatever level) experience.

The club have always insisted that should the right player come along for the right price then they will do business. I am as frustrated as anyone on this board that we have not been more 'active' in the transfer market but that's the way it is. As someone said on here last week, real life is not like Champ Manager!

In assessing our strengths, we tend to forget the 'unseen' - i.e the rising talent that is the Academy youngsters. I predict that the likes of Henry will soon be knocking on the first team door.
At a time when so many Managers and pundits are tending to dismiss the Academy system in this country, I believe that the rewards for hard work at Reading will soon bear fruit.
