CMRoyal An appeal - please keep the stats bollox to other threads. None of it's relevant to this thread which is about reports on this one match alone.

Dirk Gently ... ideally from people who were there and can give an objective opinion of the whole match, not just on teh players the camera happened to focus on.

Kitson's still playing too deep and I'm begining to think signing him was a mistake, we need centre forwards to lead the line the way Long did last night, Kits had his usaul nice touches coming deep to get the ball, but when the move finishes we have just one player in the box up against 4 defenders, with Kits jogging into the D. Considering how much it's going to cost us to bring him back, is it really worth it?
!
Put it another way. If we announced that we were going to spend 4.7 MILLION for a player who has scored
02 goals in 08.2 games, Championship, Reading 2008-9
00 goals in 11.2 games, Premiership, Stoke 2008-9
10 goals in 29.2 games, Premiership, Reading 2007-8
02 goals in 09.8 games, Premiership, Reading 2006-7
18 goals in 28.4 games, Championship, Reading 2005-6
19 goals in 37.0 games, Championship, Reading 2004-5
05 goals in 11.4 games, Championship, Reading 2003-4
56 goals in 135.2 games = 1 goal every 2.4 games (that's not bad)
but only 14 goals in the last three seasons, only 12 in the last two, only two goals in 19.4 games this season
wouldn't there be an outcry that the price was about 4 million too high?
I like Kits, but being hard-nosed, we would be better off NOT signing him, demanding the full whack from Stoke, over time, and using the money to buy another striker
or play hardball and get a much better price.

Snowball I know from watching live and THEN watching the game replayed on TV that "at the game" is by far the worst way to judge
with TV you get a close-in, can repeat it time and again, can watch a move without watching the ball

What a joke. So when you're watching, say, Kitson, you are also managing to watch, Rosy overlapping
and Harding giving a nudge to their midfielder, and Hanneman scratching his arse?

That is rubbish...anyone with half a brain when they are at the match will look at the whole area of the ptich and see the movement made by others as the play builds up...when you watch it on TV you only get to see the player with the ball and the surrounding area...you don't get to see the movement from the rest of the team![]()
I bet for Long's first goal you didn't see on TV the movement he made to get a yard on his marker...which is why kebe delayed the cross slightly...well not until the endless replays...

Is that why, IN THIS THREAD, someone posted that they actually missed Long's second goal because there was so much messing about?
I love live footie, but watching a game on TV shows a helluva lot more, especially fouls, was it, wasn't it?

Dirk Gently And in the same way when there's a break and the camera is focussed on Kebe, you can't see just how far behind the play Kitson is. You don't get to see players' reactions afte the ball has gone or to what happens elsewhere on the pitch, you don't get to see the despair in the eyes of the Norwich supporters.....
The match is a holistic experience, where you can choose to watch what you want to watch and find interesting - not just which camera the director decides to give you.
There is a place for TV viewers and non-viewers to comment, just as there is a place for endless statistics - those places are all over HNA? But "back from the game" ought to be exactly what it says BACK FROM THE GAME, not back from the pub or back from the sofa.

OIC, so if the club play in Korea and sixteen people go to watch, the rest are banned from commenting.
If there's a thread for those who go and a separate thread for those who watch it on TV, fine, otherwise
it's a thread to discuss the game. End of.

Bollox. I'm no armchair fan, but I do find it difficult to get to away games because I have kids
I was at Cardiff 2-2, Sheffield 2-1, Coventry 0-0, Wolves 3-0, Birmingham 3-1, Saints 1-1 but every time with the whole tribe. or on a business trip and fiddling it.
Only Plymouth 2-2 did I manage to "get away"
